now, we are boston drivers so i suppose i shouldn't be surprised that you ignored me when i pulled up next to you and beeped repeatedly but had you looked over you would have see me giving you the big thumbs up.... i was diggin' your silent lambs bumper sticker.. sigh... we were almost road buddies.. .

okay, i'm not that excited about it, but i feel i've done my part today, albeit, with mixed emotion.. i happened into a clinic at the hospital and lo and behold amidst the peoples and newsweeks in the waiting area... hmmm... someone tucked a few magazines into the reading selections- big surprise, i know!

it just wouldn't be a waiting area without a "100 best dressed celebs", a dog-eared better housekeeping, a barely touched newsweek and of course, our best protection against satan- the ever-popular watchtower and awake magazines.. ugh.

now i'm miffed.

disassociated without baptism

i believe there was a topic about disfellowshipping an unbaptized person awhile back but i can't remember enough of the details to find it.. i was speaking with a friend yesterday who was disassociated as a young teenager, complete with a reading to the congregation and shunning, despite the fact that this person was never baptized.. (i tipped my hand a bit by blurting out that they aren't supposed to be able to do that if you aren't baptized.

way to go, smartie!

nice way to play it cool with how much research this non-jw has done, but that's beside the point.).

ah yes, i was rummaging around jack chick's website and couldn't help but realize how mr. chick knows just how to reach an audience.

(www.chick.com) whether you stumble onto one of his well-crafted tracts in a dank bathroom stall at your local denny's or find them strewn about the parking lot at walmart, chick knows that people can't help but eagerly thumb through his charming life-saving pamphlets.. i couldn't help but wonder just how powerful the preaching effort would be if the watchtower employed some of mr. chick's winning tactics to reach the doomed populace.
