Shunning/Ostracising

the past few weeks i have been comnunicating with jw's in my area who attend kh meetings physically but not mentally.

they are "closet apostates" or "double agents".

some are planning to leave the area altogether to avoid the hassles of being shunned.. according to one of these "closet apostates", he believes that 30% if not more of the members in his congregation would leave if it were not for the shunning.

w: yes he is but he is only the god of this world.

after all if what these people say is true then anybody that dosent know what it is in deep trouble.

I belive the watchtower will fall.

i belive the watchtower will fall.. maybe not now but in ten or twenty years its really going to be struggling.. it will be obvious to most in a few more years thay armageddon is not coming , 1914 is wrong etc.

"apostate knowledge" will become much more widespread due to the internet.. it is different to other religions in the fact that everyone is looking forward to armageddon in their life time.

it is the driving force for witnesses and will cause it to die.armaggedons no-show will cause bitter disappointment .. those who have left already , and have taken their families with them have stunted future groth as this is mostly made up of children of believers .. people are becoming better educated and more knowledgeable in general.. all the elderly ones will have died, with no link to the past ,and no armaggedon enthusiasm will die out.. this generation of witnesses may be the last.. (then i woke up)or did i?

this sounds very familiar to the jw's but many cults also have the same tactics.

jw family murder/suicide in france: this is from chasson who found it in the parisian, a french newspaper, but given in smoother english: "a terrible family drama occurred saturday evening in an apartment in linas.

a 35 year old woman killed her son, 2 years old, before hanging herself with a cord.

according to a preliminary investigation by the police station in arpajon, the little boy died from drugs.

last october when the un/ngo story broke, i recall reading that the un had planned to start an investigation and possibly file charges on the watchtower society for failing to follow the charter.

does anyone else recall reading this?

what was the outcome?.

it seems as if rand cam engine corporation signed a contract with the us navy to supply parts for their "smart" bombs.

the watchtower bible and tract society owns 50% stock in rand cam engine corporation (rgus).

Told a JW friend about UN story...

i phoned a friend of mine this evening.

we keep in touch at least once a week and her and her sister (both jw's) have been to visit us for the weekend several times now.

i took the chance and brought up the un thing with her... her immediate reaction?
