  i heard about a horrible case of animal abuse in philadelphia.

  the police found decapitated goats, chickens and birds in a trash dumpster near a gas station.

  some of these goats were babies and their mouths were tied shut prior to their death.

Some of these goats were babies and their mouths were tied shut prior to their death. This is the second time in a month decapitated animals were found in this same
  dumpster. The police and the SPCA believe this was some sort of religious sacrifice.
  
  Should they get caught, they may be fined but there will be no jail time. The U.S. Supreme court supports religious sacrifices.

  New book pisses active Witnesses off!

  my sister just called me at work to let me know that her husband (until recently, unsympathetic to her doubts) is thoroughly confused and pissed off by the new 'worship' book!.

  he has been comparing it with the 'united' book, has noted the obvious differences (3 missing chapters), and has begun examining it word for word...now he is raving looney about it.. to top it off, they were at bethel within the last few days, somehow ended up in brother larson's personal office, and were astonished to find a model spanish galleon replete with huge crosses, and a huge portrait of good ol' max towering over the watchtower itself.

  she said her husband thought it looked like a propaganda poster for 'big brother'..... finally!

  this isn't really a joke, but i do wonder if the jws could anything worse than they already have.

  i don't think/suspect that the dubs would go off and do a mass-killing/suicide of themselves, a la jonestown or waco.

  but you do have to wonder now that the pedophile and the un/wts-connection scandals have came to "light", so to speak, what else is brewing in the underbelly of the society?.

  I have often thought of this myself. I was thinking more on the lines of racketeering, money laundering or some embarassing scandal that will make them look stupid

  Looking at their past experiences, when find themselves sinking in deep water, they will grasp anything they can to stay afloat, no matter how stupid it is.

  calling all dubbies in the middle atlantic states unlucky enough to have been assigned to the annual sauna in philly july 11-13.. as the u.s, northeast bakes in sweltering heat and debilitating humidity, what greater first-hand evidence can you find of bethel's callous indifference to your well-being than their persistence in scheduling these pointless hum-drum events in such a notorious blast-furnace environment as vets stadium, when just across the street, at the spectrum, and in countless other venues, air-conditioned auditoriums are readily available to them?

  I live right outside of Phila. and am very familiar with Veterans (Vet) Stadium. It just struck me funny how a religion that is anti-gov't and anti-military would hold a convention at a place called Veterans Stadium.

  I have been a practicing witch for 8 years and find these statistics both positive and negative. The growing popularity and education of witchcraft dispels the myth that witches practice Satanism, are drug users and cast negative spells on people. That is the positive.

  The negative. There are many witch wannabees out there who think the religion is only about magick spells and think it is "cool" to tell others they are a witch. Just like any religion, one must believe in it heart and soul to be a witch. There are many out there who give us a bad name. Most true witches don't announce their religion to others they don't know well.

  Going back in history, witches were and still are persecuted more than the Jehovah's Witnesses. My JW friend even agreed with me on this one.

  an article appearing in a local newspaper featured the building of a local kingdom hall.

  next to the article, a seperate column liste some beliefs of jehovah's witnesses, after stating briefly who they are and how they originated.. the article then listed their beliefs as follows:.

  Speaking as a "worldly" person if I were to read that article I would think that these door knocking holy rollers are NUTS!!
