Why did the WTBTS not sue Ray Franz?

if ray franz had been lying in anything he said in both of his books, c of c and in search of christian freedom, surely the wtbts would have sued him.

why did they take no legal action against him?.

could it be that this legalistic corportion realised he had lied about nothing?

Probably because he told the truth and even if he told a few "untruths"(which I highly doubt) the publicity this would generate would do more harm.

I'm not a Christian but some of the churches in my area have some funny quotes. I passed one this morning that said: "Warning: Exposure to the son will prevent burning."

the oldest manuscripts are not considered the most reliable.. there are no "autograph" texts.

none.. there are no "original" manuscripts.. no two manuscripts agree.. the bible as we know it only came together in the form it now holds because certain men decided it should do so.. neither jesus nor his apostles or disciples carried bibles.. the apostle paul didn't carry a bible and none of his letters were in any of the scrolls considered holy scripture at the time he was preaching and forming christian theology as it is now understood to be.. largely, what the bible is today, is the result of certain men with certain agendas who had the authority to make their project happen.

they also had the power to destroy writings which did not agree with their agenda.

athens, greece (cnn) -- a cypriot plane with "no sign of life" in the cockpit as it approached athens has crashed into a mountain, killing all 121 people on board, greek officials said.. f-16 pilots escorting the boeing 737 after air traffic controllers lost contact with the jet sunday said the pilot was not in the cockpit and the co-pilot was slumped over the controls, according to reports.. the boeing pilots had reported an air conditioning problem, and greek tv said a passenger sent a text message to his cousin saying it was freezing in the plane.. "the pilot has turned blue (in the face)," the passenger said in the sms message, reuters quoted the television report as saying.

There's still a much better chance of winning the lottery than dying in a plane crash. It's very sad that this happened but it won't stop me from flying.
