The things kids say ... my little "critical thinker"
by Simon ini am soooo proud - my little lad who's 6 declared that he had proof that santa isn't real (he waited till after he unwrapped his christmas presents though, i guess just to be on the safe side).. this is his simple reasoning .... "santa isn't real ... because if santa brings all the presents, then why do they sell wrapping paper in the shops?".
it really makes sense when you think about it.
i'm happy knowing he's already smarter than the average jw (and will never be one!

It's good to know JWD will eventually be passed on to capable hands!
(Of course by then it will be telepathically beamed into our heads. Can't wait!)
Dave
I'm hoping by then, there won't be a need for this site.

The Watchtower Observer Forum is still around, but it's been a little quiet lately.

My website: www.reexamine.org
by reexaminer ingreetings.. i have started a project that i hope will stay online for times indefinate, even to times indefinate.
you can find it at www.reexamine.org .. i started working on it in october and it is still a work in progress, however because of the shut down of the website located at http://quotes.watchtower.ca i felt that i should release the site in "as-is" condition, instead of waiting until it was completely finished.. currently, there isn't a lot of content in the 'wiki' section of the website.
hopefully in the next few days and weeks that will change, however there are still programming issues that i have to work out before that can happen.

Apostates protesting conventions = Something I laughed at
by free2beme insorry if there are those apostates here that do this, but you were often the butt of a joke and nothing taken serious.
i personally loved the ones who wore paper bags over their head, as they were often people still afraid of getting in trouble.
it is not like a political rally with people saying "make love, not war.

I live in one of the top 10 largest cities in the US and the media covers it here. These conventions are not small. People come in from all over to attend. They are large enough that the newspapers write articles and the local news shows them.

I'm not a JW, I'm not an ex-JW, I'm not an apostate (defined by the WT), and I'm not a convention protestor. There are some that protest these conventions not to reach the JW's but to reach the local news networks. It doesn't look good to the public that there are protestors at a Jehovah's Witness convention.

Welcome Sassafras.
Why don't you invite your husband to join this board and he can read the experiences many here have endured. He might be able to relate to some of them.
