Here is a link to the deed for a Kingdom Hall near me. Listed as owners are 3 men, one is the PO, another is an elder, and one is deceased. The deceased man has a son who is not a JW. I'm wondering why the Watchtower would put Kingdom Hall deeds under individual names and if the non-JW son has any claim to one-third of this property since he is next of kin. I checked other Kingdom Hall deeds in my area and they have Jehovah's Witnesses listed as the owner rather than individuals.

hello.........this is a first for me- i've been reading some of your messages for some time now, and i must say you guys study your watchtower far better than i ever did.
i'm still a part of the congregation (and an elder), but i have to say i agree with many of your criticisms of the organization.
we've become just like the pharisees that jesus condemned............at our last assembly, the do and co warned against apostate material over and over again..........so i certainly think you're having a tremendous impact on their actions.
Hello and welcome. I'm glad to hear this web site is having a big impact. Maybe others will see things the way you see them and come by here too.

on saturday night i met a former elder at a birthday party.
i knew a little bit about him, and asked if i could talk to him.
see, i handled it all wrong from the start, a "sister asking for advice.
I agree with Joy. Concentrate your energy and motivation on those JW's with doubts who really want to learn the truth.
he looked like al jareau/ louis farakan with his little bow tie and his wife looked like venessa williams a light skinned woman with green eyes.
they were the cooliest couple i had ever met in the traveling work- they had a style that was very unusal, in most cases the wife if often times unknown and stands in the showdow of her man, not levine she was all woman- smile.
alot of the boys had a crush on her - she never got fresh but she was just nice-.
Hi Sis,
I live in the Philly area but don't know them. I know of a CO named Frederick Dentler.
I'll ask around to see if I can find anything out about Pedro Hienz.

okay, lets say for the sake of argument, and since they predict it anyways, if the governments of canada, usa, uk, etc said to the jw's no more religion, how many do you think would cave in to the pressure.
it's obvious to me, most jw's are not that into the religion, for most just a social affair, the real diehards who believe and do all is probaly 25 % or less.. would you or your family cave in to that pressure, or get stronger and say, see the end is near ??
They also make the unintelligent JW's feel smart by ohhhhing and ahhhhing at there ridiculous stupid comments during studies.

I don't think it's so much a social affair as it is a confidence builder and a crutch to lean on. I lost a friend to the JW's and in his case, he had a very low self esteem. While he was studying, the others made him feel loved and important. They were taking the time to study with him. He came from a very bad family environment and here are people that care for him. Things have changed since baptism but he still feels important. He believes that he is closer to God than I am and that he holds the truth to Jehovah's love and I don't. He believes that JW's are Jehovah's chosen people in the same manner that biblical prophets were chosen by God to spread his message. This makes my friend feel very important.
He is also a very depressed person. The belief that Paradise, a place where he will finally be content, is right around the corner keeps him going from day to day. He won't make any effort to improve his intellect or financial situation because he believes his unhappiness will just go away when Armageddon comes and he looks forward to this happening. When I think about his emotional state I sometimes worry and feel very sorry for him. I know he is miserable and probably spends a lot of time crying at home. But since he broke ties with me (for not being a JW and questioning him about it) there is nothing I can do.

be nice on this thread, please!
i don't want to see it get locked b/c of some people!.
do you think he's guilty?
In a Court of Law he's innocent until proven guilty. In a Court of Public Opinion, he's guilty.
The more I hear about this case, the more I believe he is guilty. Unfortunately the court system has turned into a contest between the Prosecutor and the lawyer. Many times the guilty go free because the Defendents lawyer knows how to play the system.

this is a web site that may interest many readers here.
not only is there a critical evaluation of the creation book, but dimaggio sent letters to the wt.
their response is of course pathetic.

i imagine there's a gleeful rubbing of hands in bethel, and lots of self-congratulatory statements circulating about how right disfellowshipping is and how how it keeps the congregation clean.
meanwhile, silentlambs files continue to grow in number, thanks to the protection of paedophiles within the org because of the application of the insane "two witnesses" policy.
I found this letter from the Watchtower regarding Michael Jackson's status.
