What is the WTS up to?

i was thinking last night that the wts is acting suspicious like.

remenber the letter a few months ago to have emergency supplies ready and contact numbers ect.

then the end of religion tract, then the km on blood.

It is a hype rally.

Also 2006 DC "Deliverance at Hand" and special "Creation Awake" can be added to the hype list.

Why?

1) Active membership is asleep at the wheel

2) Losses from inactive JWs will make org unsustainable

Tyre shall never be rebuilt. Failed prophecy?

according to ezekiel 26:14 tyre will never be rebuilt after it is destroyed.

the society says that after nebuchadrezzar alexander the great came and finally destroyed tyre.

but in insight on the scriptures they also mention that tyre was rebuilt and later jesus and paul go to tyre.

Alexander’s soldiers scraped up all the debris of the ruined mainland city and threw it into the sea, making a half-mile [800 m] causeway out to the island city. Then, with an intricate siegework, they scaled the 150-foot-high [46 m] walls to take the city in 332 B.C.E. Thousands were killed, and many more were sold into slavery. As Ezekiel had also predicted, Tyre became the ‘bare surface of a crag and a drying yard for dragnets.’ (26:14) On the other side of the Promised Land, the treacherous Edomites were also annihilated, in fulfillment of Ezekiel’s prophecy. (25:12, 13; 35:2-9) And, of course, Ezekiel’s prophecies about the destruction of Jerusalem and Israel’s restoration also proved to be accurate.—17:12-21; 36:7-14.

Compare Ezekiel 26:14:

And I will make you a shining, bare surface of a crag. A drying yard for dragnets is what you will become. Never will you be rebuilt; for I myself, Jehovah, have spoken,’ is the utterance of the Sovereign Lord Jehovah.

I have heard the same concern myself among JWs.

They think this might bring "persecution". Hey, if God doesn't fulfill your prophecies...

i had "met" a few gals when i first left the wts (seven years ago) who talked about this convention....one was from western ny....but i have since lost touch with them and lost their email addies years ago.

That is true. Expect anti-internet action after the old GB die off. But then...it will be too late.

okay, i have been harping on this issue for some time.

i think i have this thing refined enough that i can communicate it succinctly.

After the crowd heard Peter’s explanation, many of them were moved to action. They "embraced his word heartily" and "were baptized, and on that day about three thousand souls were added." (Acts 2:41) As natural Jews and Jewish proselytes, they already had a basic knowledge of the Scriptures.That, coupled with faith in what they learned from Peter, provided the basis for them to be baptized "in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit." (Matthew 28:19) After their baptism "they continued devoting themselves to the teaching of the apostles." At the same time, they began sharing their newfound faith with others. As a result of this witnessing activity, "Jehovah continued to join to them daily those being saved." No doubt this increase was, at least in part, due to their zealous efforts to preach the "good news" when they returned home.—Colossians 1:23.

But this could be compared to witnessing to anyone of Christain or Jewish background today.

I believe your reasoning is air tight.
