It is a hype rally.
Also 2006 DC "Deliverance at Hand" and special "Creation Awake" can be added to the hype list.
Why?
1) Active membership is asleep at the wheel
2) Losses from inactive JWs will make org unsustainable
i was thinking last night that the wts is acting suspicious like.
remenber the letter a few months ago to have emergency supplies ready and contact numbers ect.
then the end of religion tract, then the km on blood.
It is a hype rally.
Also 2006 DC "Deliverance at Hand" and special "Creation Awake" can be added to the hype list.
Why?
1) Active membership is asleep at the wheel
2) Losses from inactive JWs will make org unsustainable
according to ezekiel 26:14 tyre will never be rebuilt after it is destroyed.
the society says that after nebuchadrezzar alexander the great came and finally destroyed tyre.
but in insight on the scriptures they also mention that tyre was rebuilt and later jesus and paul go to tyre.
Brilliant quote here:
*** si p. 133 par. 4 Bible Book Number 26—Ezekiel ***
Further proof of authenticity is to be found in the dramatic fulfillment of Ezekiel’s prophecies against neighboring nations, such as Tyre, Egypt, and Edom. For example, Ezekiel prophesied that Tyre would be devastated, and this was partly fulfilled when Nebuchadnezzar took the city after a siege of 13 years. (Ezek. 26:2-21) This conflict did not mean the complete end for Tyre. However, Jehovah’s judgment was that it should be totally destroyed. He had foretold through Ezekiel: "I will scrape her dust away from her and make her a shining, bare surface of a crag. . . . Your stones and your woodwork and your dust they will place in the very midst of the water." (26:4, 12) This was all fulfilled more than 250 years later when Alexander the Great moved against the island city of Tyre. Alexander’s soldiers scraped up all the debris of the ruined mainland city and threw it into the sea, making a half-mile [800 m] causeway out to the island city. Then, with an intricate siegework, they scaled the 150-foot-high [46 m] walls to take the city in 332 B.C.E. Thousands were killed, and many more were sold into slavery. As Ezekiel had also predicted, Tyre became the ‘bare surface of a crag and a drying yard for dragnets.’ (26:14) On the other side of the Promised Land, the treacherous Edomites were also annihilated, in fulfillment of Ezekiel’s prophecy. (25:12, 13; 35:2-9) And, of course, Ezekiel’s prophecies about the destruction of Jerusalem and Israel’s restoration also proved to be accurate.—17:12-21; 36:7-14.
Compare Ezekiel 26:14:
And I will make you a shining, bare surface of a crag. A drying yard for dragnets is what you will become. Never will you be rebuilt; for I myself, Jehovah, have spoken,’ is the utterance of the Sovereign Lord Jehovah.

Substitute Governing Body for "Pastor" or "Leadership". Took the test conservatively and still recorded an "off the charts" reading.
I believe the evangelical references are based on the site's attack on mind control in the fundy world:
Are you hearing phrases like "Obey, Apostolic Mandate, Five Fold Ministry, Tithing, Honor the Pastor, Set Man, Theocracy, Under Authority, Covering, Robbing God, or Submit" at your church?
Cultwatch's web servers are running hot as Christians rush to download Cultwatch's in depth expose of the "Super Apostles". If you are a Christian you need to read these articles. Get informed and get warned about the Super Apostles' clandestine push to mainstream Mind Control practices in the Christian Church. Protect yourself, your friends and family. i got this from the reachout trust website.
this is what a jw poster said the other day about the new tract campaign:.
i was wondering when reading the new tract (kn37) after last nights meeting how this will go down on the doors.
I have heard the same concern myself among JWs.
They think this might bring "persecution". Hey, if God doesn't fulfill your prophecies...
is anyone familiar with this upcoming event?
or know anyone who attends?.
i had "met" a few gals when i first left the wts (seven years ago) who talked about this convention....one was from western ny....but i have since lost touch with them and lost their email addies years ago.
Better remove those phone numbers Mouthy... (trying PM to Sunspot instead)
change "politician" to "watchtower leadership" and "voter" to "jehover's witness".

google boss warns politicians about internet power.
"Many of the
politiciansGoverning Body don't actually understand the phenomenon of the Internet very well," Schmidt told the Financial Times. "It's partly because of their age ... often what they learn about the Internet they learn from their staffs and their children."
That is true. Expect anti-internet action after the old GB die off. But then...it will be too late.
okay, i have been harping on this issue for some time.
i think i have this thing refined enough that i can communicate it succinctly.
i want as much feedback as possible.
This is the pat answer from the WTS (emphasis mine):
Watchtower 2002 8/1 p. 15 par. 6 Stirred by "the Magnificent Things of God"
After the crowd heard Peter’s explanation, many of them were moved to action. They "embraced his word heartily" and "were baptized, and on that day about three thousand souls were added." (Acts 2:41) As natural Jews and Jewish proselytes, they already had a basic knowledge of the Scriptures. That, coupled with faith in what they learned from Peter, provided the basis for them to be baptized "in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit." (Matthew 28:19) After their baptism "they continued devoting themselves to the teaching of the apostles." At the same time, they began sharing their newfound faith with others. Indeed, "day after day they were in constant attendance at the temple with one accord, . . . praising God and finding favor with all the people." As a result of this witnessing activity, "Jehovah continued to join to them daily those being saved." (Acts 2:42, 46, 47) Christian congregations sprang up in many of the lands where these new believers lived. No doubt this increase was, at least in part, due to their zealous efforts to preach the "good news" when they returned home.—Colossians 1:23.
But this could be compared to witnessing to anyone of Christain or Jewish background today.
I believe your reasoning is air tight.
my favorite word i like to use is "bs society" instead of watchtower society.. what's yours?.
Ditto Johos!
here is a grand opportunity to give the jw that knock on your door some apostate literature.
of course we wouldn't want to hand them hate literature - they won't read it.
they might read the wts own literature though.
Multiple references to "20th century" in Revelation book as well. Of course all "adjusted" by new revisions.
the insert in this months km is 4 pages of revisions for the rev.
book i am going over them one by one.
most seem pretty insignificant, updated figures and such.
