ok, for those of us non-, and never before-jw's, will someone please explain what the big deal is about having responsibility for microphones is all about?
we do use microphones in our church, but ....i mean whoever is in charge of any technology that day sets up microphones.
it could be anyone in the church, male or female, young or old, the pastor, the janitor.
Microphone duty is the beginning of the stairway to the stars!
Look at all the things you see, whether the bros and sis's have highlighted their mags etc. If they haven't you report them to the elders for not studying properly.
Look at all the cleavage you can enjoy!

1) build a hall in the center of the city, not far away like they usually do.. 2) make it 1 hour meetings.

how did noah put bitumen on the underside of the ark, did he get his family to lift it up allowing him to slide under and paint this on?
the underside being the most important face to be treated needed to be waterproof to make sure it did not allow leaks to occur, and had to stand up to extreme conditions for a whole year.

after speaking to an elderly jw a few weeks ago, it occured to me that the wts genuinely experienced good times in the 50's and 60's, perhaps the 1970's.
it seemed a good place to be.
people seemed more relaxed.
You are perfectly correct, it all started going very wrong when 'The Stay Alive to '75' failed to materialise. Many left and many more slowly became disillusioned.
The hard liner elders which are left now, have no Empathy, Sympathy and certainly NO discernment, they act like a bunch of gangsters.
Biblical principles are out, their behaviour is similar to the East German Stasse or the Russian KGB

Yes, that happened to me a short while ago, I recognised the description of a KH.
I PM'd the couple, we are now great friends and communicate regularly, they were also kind enough to invite me for a meal just before Xmas.
