Typical JW behaviour, very sad for all of you.
Don't worry about the punctuation or lack of it, the story is just the same
hi all, ive not posted for a while ,but my mother told me that recently she saw my non practising ex elder fatherin law who still believes in "the truth" im married to his disfellowshipped son and we have a lovely little girl who they have not seen for 18 months despite living just a half hour drive away, anyway my mother told him that i had said him and his die hard jw wife would be most welcome to come and see us and the grandaughter they claim to be heartbroken about not seeing anymore since we left town and to just give us a ring first !
he replied " well that will be a bit difficult because they dont live anywhere near where we visit !
" my mother was too stunned to reply !

was there an official or unofficial reason that anyone knows of?.
it seems to me that pretty much every publication was studied at the book study, but we never did that one..
It was a reference book for information,
not for studying and improving your own spirituality.
Wow! Sister fokyc just told me
we haven't been to meetings for a few months and weren't aware of the co visit until we received a phone call an hour and a half before the meeting letting us know.
no one came to visit us so far this week, not that i'm complaining.
does the co usually stop by in service?
In 2003 a CO visited me and asked about my inactivity,
he agreed that the way elders had tackled a problem was wrong!
AND I was due an apology from the body of elders!
I never had an apology, and I'm still inactive.
Since then the elders have destroyed my records and claim they do not know me!

i never even heard of an "apostate" until a jw called me that.....and i'm not even a jw!.
anyway, i am wondering if "apostate" is a term exclusive to cult groups only, like jws, mormons, and scientologists.
i have never heard of a methodist or baptist apostate, but surely, there must be such a thing.. i have seen complaints where "apostate" xtians say they were kicked off websites that promote "mainstream xianity" or denominational religions, so there can never really be any deep discussions or debates on those sites.
YES; anyone who leaves their religion could be termed an apostate
BUT,
The JW's have their own special interpretation of the word apostate:
Page 94 of “Pay Attention to Yourselves and to All the Flock" 1991
"Persons who deliberately spread (stubbornly hold to and speak about) teachings contrary to Bible truth as taught by Jehovah's Witnesses are apostates."

In any sensible regime, he would have been executed.
The lawyers are making a great deal of this and out of it!

Walter Mitty perhaps? 'compulsive fantasising'
"The character has become a subject of fascination since the story's publication, even prompting an article in a British medical journal suggesting "Walter Mitty Syndrome" might be a clinical condition that manifested itself in compulsive fantasising."
I always see him as his original Avatar depicted him, hope some of you remember it!
A bit of a loony! Certainly don't have to trust him
.
the passion and nemesis of henry viii, i believe.
the mention of jellied eel on marmot's thread about blood sausage inspired this.. syl.
