  Banking Nightmare

  i had a horrible experience with bank of america yesterday.

  i needed to deposit cash in my checking account in order to cover a check i had written to cover my mortgage.

  bank of america has decided to close many of their full service banks and replace them with new fangled atm machines.

  Hi!! New Here and need to express some feelings

  i'm so glad i happened to stumble across this website cause i really need to express what i've been holding inside for quite some time.

  i'm 27 and was born and raised in the "truth".

  i'm married and my husband was also raised as a jw, been married for almost 7 years and have two kids who have just started kindergarten and preschool.

  hi all.. i have to attend a special assembly on saturday "take refuge in jehovah".. has anyone been to this yet....what can i expect?.

  here is the line up...... 9:40 song and prayer.

  Two elders in my wifes cong haven't spoken to or with her for over four years!

  This is because she knows they have lied and they know she knows!

  i had started studying with jw because i was curious about the religion because my bf then(now husband) was a witness.

  i am a very open minded person and really had i known what i know now i prob would not have been baptized.

  i always had my doubts but i really enjoyed the positive aspects that i was learning at the meetings...i studied with my mom in law.i prob shouldn't have done that because she has taken it very personal that we have stopped and even had the nerve to say i started studying to get in good with the fam!!

  Welcome lil.lady.03, I think you will be surprised by the numbers of posters here who have very similar stories to tell!

  Re: "If you only knew"; most of us DO KNOW. The WTBTS is a very powerful influence on many people and breaking free is hard but not impossible.

  You mention your BF is not a JW but wordly, there is nothing wrong with that; contrary to what the WTBTS says, not all non-JW's are terrible evil people; in fact it is US who are the normal ones and them who are the misled odd ones!

  I wonder whether a Watchtower and Awake were presented with the cat?

  Why do they need a trip of a lifetime when Armageddon is just around the corner?

  Bros & Sisters were worried when we went on a cruise in 1975! What would we do if Armageddon came!!

  the jc gave me 7 days to appeal, ...well, i am not going to waste my energy trying to win a loosing battle.....or(wait aminute), i can play difficult and strech them to their limit..
