The Jews and JW's have one very important thing in common. They are both God's chosen people.
The JW's were chosen in 1918 apparantly. Its in their literature, the Watchtower. The Jews were chosen much earlier,
which is written in their literature, Deuteronomy 7:6. When God choses me, I am going to write it down so
people will believe me.

Athiests please answer these questions
by Mrs Smith ini'm not trying to pick a fight i was just sitting at my desk pondering on some threads on jwd and i would very much like this question answered.. why is it that athiest often (not always) direct their argument for athiesism towards christians?
why not direct your argument towards buddists or muslims or even new-agers?
i mean they also believe in a higher power so why is it that only christains seem to get knocked?

There are too many belief systems to argue about. Is there anyone on this forum who doesn't experience skeptical thoughts when they read this:

A STUNNINGLY simple question about JOHN 3:16 "For God so Loved the world."
by Terry inon what basis did god so love the world?.
the world of mankind had been condemned to death by god's curse in eden!.
god viewed mankind as "dust on the scales".

Perry,
Some men love fishing because of all the tangental aspects of the experience. Drinking. Smoking. Being in the sun.
Your opinions do seem to be heavily influenced by Jewish stories. -

After 4.5 billion years, the earth finally has a species that has the ability to start to spread out into the 400 billion galaxies God created for us. Things are just starting to get interesting.

When you hack a living creature with a sword, a red liquid poors out of the creature and the creature dies.
That red liquid must contain the life force of the creature.
Genesis 9:4
"But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat." -

The prophet Muhammad
by catbert inhas there ever been a watchtower or awake magazine that reveals or states muhammad was a "false prophet"?
imagine a watchtower with a picture of muhammad on the front cover, and the title "false prophet".
do you suppose that would get them some attention?

They would have no problem putting the pope on the front cover with a negative message. -

See a doctor.
Maybe liver problems? Fatty liver is common amongst heavy people.
See a doctor.
Have them check your liver enzymes.
Fatty liver can make you feel weak, lethargic.

Jehovah's Witnesses are NOT stupid!
by nicolaou inafter several years 'out' i can't be the only one who still gets a bit pissed off to hear 'oh so clever' apostates slagging off jw's for being dumb, stupid and worse.
grow up!
the beliefs of jehovah's witnesses are certainly stupid but then i'd say the same for all christian belief just as many of you might condemn my atheistic, evolutionary postion as being nonsense.

Most people are not enthusiastic about researching science, which is the antithesis of religion.
Simple questions are "How do they know how old the earth is?" or "How do they know how far away stars are?"
People often wonder about these things, and don't take the action to research the known science.
Its not stupidity. Its ignorance. -

Jehovah's Witnesses - A Hijacked Religion
by B_Deserter inthe more and more i read about the history of the witnesses, the more i don't see them as one in the same as charles t. russell's religion.
i think the religious movement from 1874 to 1916 was completely different than the one from 1918 to now.
rutherford is the real founder of jehovah's witnesses.

Jesus agrees with you. He made his inspection in 1918, and searched the earth for his favorite Christains, and
found the JW's. He "appointed them over all his belongings" in that year. Jesus thought Russell had a screw loose,
and I tend to agree with him. The guy was obsessed with measuring pyramids. -

I have lost all desire to study the bible... This sucks...
by cognac ini just feel that the bible was put in place so that people can use it for guidelines and so forth.
i don't think that you have to know everything to be accepted by god.... the only problem is, is that i no longer study with my husband either.
now, he's not seeing the truth for what it is and starting to revert back to jw land... but, just the thought of studying anymore makes me sick... it's just, when you study so much after awhile you just can't take it anymore... i would like to actually enjoy my life a little bit.... i'm sick of trying to prove my viewpoint.

I work with educated people from India and China. They don't seem at all concerned with the message that is in the bible.
They were both raised in their native countries, and have no supersticius attachment to this Jewish book.
They are oblivious to the fact that they are going to hell for not accepting Jesus Christ as their personal savior. :-)
