  The Watchtower's Bizarre Omissions

  there must be quite a lot that goes on behind the scenes of the facade of watchtower conformity.

  two examples:.

  the society published "worship the only true god" which was merely a re-edited version of the "united in worship" book.. in this book, they specifically removed the chapter on blood transfusion.

  You all make it sound like they constantly change their minds and redefine stuff as they need. I disagree, look how they spoke of the clergy back in the 1918 Kingdom News No. 1.(see 11/1/89 wt)

  Or wait, are they talking about they selves now....

  LIE

  The opposite of truth. Lying generally involves saying something false to a person who is entitled to know the truth and doing so with the intent to deceive or to injure him or another person.

  So this means that the writing department can misrepresent, misquote, and lie about their references, because the R&F is not entitled to know where they get their (dis)information. They gave them selves a get out of jail card. And who exactly can decide "who is entitled?"

  While malicious lying is definitely condemned in the Bible, this does not mean that a person is under obligation to divulge truthful information to people who are not entitled to it.(In other words it’s alright to lie by giving only half truth.) Jesus Christ counseled: “Do not give what is holy to dogs, neither throw your pearls before swine, that they may never trample them under their feet and turn around and rip you open.” (Mt 7:6) That is why Jesus on certain occasions refrained from giving full information or direct answers to certain questions(Try this in a JC meeting)when doing so could have brought unnecessary harm. (Mt 15:1-6; 21:23-27; John 7:3-10)

  According to this, they claim that Jesus gives half truth for answers; yes the Big J is a liar. Yet in this next Awake! article Jesus did not lie but specifically diverted or said nothing to avoid having to lie. Same three scriptures, 180 degrees out of phase in their interpretation. What a difference two years make.

  Every time I read their crap it never ceases to amaze me how twisted and inconsistent their logic (if I dare call it that) and teachings are. It’s defiantly easier to see it being on the outside looking in.

  hey all.. first of all i want to say that i am really impressed by the warm atmosphere that this board provides.

  i remember when i was little and we learned about non-witnesses, and they were portrayed as children-eating, blood-drinking criminals.

  okay, i exaggerate, but the connotations were there!.

  We appealed their first decision because they never gave us a reason, they quoted Hebrews 16:17,18 and then when we asked them to explain further they said we don't have to (as they called us with their decision since we walked out of the first meeting) and then they hung up the phone. They were condescending arrogant pricks and we felt the need to hold their feet to the fire, make them officially deem us apostate - which they did last Friday night and told us the announcement would/should have been last night -- they're a kooky bunch

  To all of our friends:
  
  
  I have debated over the past few weeks whether or not to send this email to all of you. As the opportunity has presented itself, I have decided to clear the reputation of both my wife and I. We asked our local body of Elders the following question, “Why was the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society associated with the United Nations as a Non-Governmental Association for ten-years.”
  
  
  In response to our question, we were ‘encouraged’ to ‘forget about it’, in the context of these ‘encouragements’ we were asked to cover over these facts and not to repeat them to anyone. Additionally, when we presented documentation to the body, as well as Bethel, we were given explanations that conflicted with all of the public information available regarding this association (the Service desk at Paterson confirmed their ten-year association as well). The elder body in Endicott refused to tell us that the documentation we provided them with was wrong, inaccurate or apostate (we asked them specifically on each point) nor did they take a position and say the Society was correct in their actions. In an effort to silence and cover over these facts we will be disfellowshipped this Thursday.
  
  
  Roger Zevotek stated in one of our judicial meetings that; ‘the validity of the information is not the issue.’ Our telling others, after nearly two years of research, was deemed apostate in nature, even though the information about the association is factual. What we did was ask questions that were apparently to ‘shocking’ for some to hear, questions regarding the conduct of the Society. We strongly feel that what we have been taught over the last 30+ years as Witnesses remains true. The conduct of each Witness is under examination by Jehovah himself, and he will judge accordingly. So it is up to each individual to not let the transgressions of any one of Jehovah’s representatives be covered over.
  
  
  The reason for our removal from the congregation was stated, our actions (by telling others who did not ask, of their confirmed association) is apostate in nature, creating a sect and causing divisions, see Titus 3:10&11.

  Our announcement was to be last night, it was the only way to get out of dinner with my parents. We told them we celeabrated B-days, that their full of crap, the borg is not gods channel and a lot of other stuff too.
  
  
  The only thing I can come up with is too many people know the facts. We heard that a publisher handed the UN letter to the DO, while out in service, and asked if it was true. He said that it was all true.
  
  
  WTF all we want is out.

  there has been talk about wt imagery and the use of subtle hypnotism during meetings.. we had a co who very forcefully wanted the piano players axed and the canned music used for the singing.. has there been any studies done to find sub-harmonic messages hidden in the music?.
