I don't have any ideas really on how to find one..except personal referrals and the like. I hope you got your money back if it sucked that bad!
I might make you feel a bit envious though, if you lived around me (and if you're in Florida, you live on the other side of the Country) I would have you get in touch with the woman who does mine. She just does it at her house, pretty much every single time it's been perfect highlights. I have really long hair, like mid back and I'm tall, and her "rate" is $25, no kidding. No matter what she does, even if she were to cut it, still $25. I always pay her more because I know what a discount I'm getting anyways. My Mom's hairdresser rocks too. I guess we're really lucky!
A botched bleach job is one of the toughest things to correct. Could you just cut off the part that's brassy and then get high and lowlights?

Does anyone here know how to find a good hair dresser?
by restrangled ini am going nuts!
as many of you may remember i had a really bad hair cut and highlighting session that has kept me in misery for at least 60 days.
i now have 2 inches of dishwater blond hair at the top, highly bleached blond in the middle, and that orangey gold at the base.

RIGHT now, I'm listening to No Doubt "trapped in a box" wah wah wah wah wah wah.
Earlier I was listening to Portishead, which reminded me of one of the reasons I started to smoke like an idiot, was that my older brother told me that that's why Beth Gibbons had such a cool voice. GRRRRRRR. Oh, why did I listen? I don't think decreasing your lung capacity by half is good on the old vocality. NOW I know better. Let that be a warning to you all, you won't all of a sudden be able to sing like Beth Gibbons if you pick up a tobacco habit. You'll just have extra phlegm and pay more tax. -

Why Platonic Relationships Are Doomed To Heartbreak- Your View
by nvrgnbk inlol!.
sorry, coco.
couldn't resist.

Sure, I don't have anything BUT platonic relationships with my boys. You know, a boyfriend seems like such a headache to me right now. I get along with guys somewhat better than girls though, they're sometimes more easygoing (no jealousy, girls can really get their feathers in a frier). I've never understood why some people think that you can't be friends with the opposite sex and nothing more. To me its very natural.

JW view on the resurrection/existence of a "soul"
by chuckyy init seems to me that one thing jws have got wrong is their view on christs resurrection, resurrection of humans, and the whole soul/spirit debate.
consider 1st the resurrection of christ:.
1. jesus said he would raise up the temple of his body...not spirit, after 3 days.

They have to twist and manipulate to make things conform with their teachings.
I've always believed that man had a "spirit." I think it's something that one senses, something that is innate knowledge so to speak. Of course what you innately sense can be dulled and polluted by what you absorb, you can in a sense switch off something that was as clear to you as the taste of milk or the feel of cotton, or the smell of baked bread; before you trained your brain to suppress that sense due to it's conflict with your studied and trained "taking in of knowledge."
Just like a person can intuitively sense that something was "wrong" with that Ted who on paper looked like a normal, white, working male. If you "knew" Ted on paper, you may force yourself to allay your "sense," brush it off as paranoia, or just your imagination. Only when he's captured as a serial killer does the recollection of that "sense" become validated or vindicated. Maybe we ought to trust our senses and not push them away so quickly? -

How could I have been so naive and gullible!?
by Mincan ini find out that the "sweetest" girl in the congregation is one of the biggest sluts in town!
she was into me, and here i thought she was sincere in the truth and i never made a move, because i was honourable.. i was so lock, stock, and barrel in this cult, so sincere, it makes me sick.
i didn't realise how two-faced and fake everyone in it was until i left and now all the people out are hanging out with the people in!.

Naive? Weren't you born into it? Of course you were naive, you were a child. It makes everyone sick I reckon who finds out what a worthless and ridiculous cult the WT is. There's nothing wrong with being a sincere person, you can still be a sincere person, it is hard to look back and realize how that sincerity was directed at something that was less than worthwhile and a fraud. You've found out about it at a very young age thankfully, you did the best at the time with what you knew, and now that you know different, you're doing different.
I recommended a book on here called "Son of the Revolution" by Liang Heng and Judith Shapiro. I think it would be a good book for you to read. I think it may alleviate some of maybe the feeling of your being a fool rather than being fooled.
I think you really are going through a bit of trauma and a greiving process right now. It's gotta be like a death in the family...maybe there's someone who can walk you through the overwhelming feelings you're probably having right now.
How are you feeling today? -

Good song :) I rather think that another song off the album is very appropriate too. And I think it's my fave too.
The Clock
Time is running out for us
But you just move the hands upon the clock
You throw coins in the wishing well
For us
You just move your hands upon the wall
It comes to you begging you to stop
Wake up
But you just move your hands upon the clock
Throw coins in the wishing well
For us
You make believe that you are still in charge -

"Jehovah ALWAYS has worked through ONE organization!"
by Dagney inhow many times have we heard this?.
i would like to know if any of you have any good arguements refuting this.
my brain is fried from two weeks of "fencing" with jw's.

If they are referring to the Jews, I would hardly call a RACE of people an Organization. If they take the Bible literally than Jehovah worked in many different ways, um, one big difference is that it is recorded that Jehovah actually had direct contact with a person or persons. Meaning he was in the physical realm, interacting almost, or sent a messenger physically to instruct/meet with someone.
I really don't get where that comes from, except maybe they think because they said it it was true. Kind of like when I say say something, it's true. And did I tell you that I was a Neuroscientist working part-time as a Valentino model? It'd probably be more accurate to say that in the Bible, Jehovah worked through a variety of people, but most of them probably had beards.
Besides, Why would he have Jesus come and then have no such organization for 19 centuries after the fact? How was he working at that time? They said that there was always "JW's" through the century, but how would God be working through them if they didn't have an "organization?"
I'll think of more later.
Do they accompany that statement with any Scriptures to serve their own ends? I mean "prove it's true." -

USA is Addicted to War
by frankiespeakin inthe us government has hundreds of miltary bases in other countries, military spending is where 50% of your tax dollars go, there are huge profits to be made by big business in this.
one thing that is needed is that human consciousness of the problem, (minus the propaganda indoctrination) needs to be raised to a higher level, i see signs of this happening, but as yet it is not enough yet to make the sweeping changes that are needed so that we don't wind up inihilating the whole human race, our consciousness has not keep up with our technology of weapon making, profits and self interest put us in the dangerous path leading to nonexistance:.

frankie, the only saturation I feel is from the same stuff your saying. Not to say its wrong, but it's pretty much everywhere. You're not alone anyhow.
I forgot, which President was it that said that greatest threat of the future is the newly minted war profiteering. The really bigtime players who make billions as contractors in a warzone, manufacturers who make weapons etc. It does get a bit murky when whole corporations have an interest in warmongering to make a buck. (egads!)
However, I say there are just causes, I think the war in Iraq makes everyone want to shove their head and the sand and pretend that we didn't make such an astronomical mistake.
