I'm quoting myself because though unintentional, this is pretty fantastic!

Rosie the rage!
by free2beme ini have been reading on the internet about the angry woman rosie o'donnell.
i think it is so sad how this woman once had the world convinced she was a sweet woman who cared and loved everyone.
only to learn over time that she is an angry bitter woman who is willing strike out without care of any one's feelings, when ever she feels fit to do so.

I agree free2beme, I used to really like her, but now she's really overbearing and too much. Although, I do have some of the same feelings about Baba Wawa. I think she's old and tired, and never really was to fascinating of a journalist, just was a woman when there really weren't that many. So, a novelty, but it's worn off now.
She really irritates me with her political correctness. It's like, you must think that your opinions are extraordinarily powerful to be so "dainty" and "discreet" to keep them to yourself. At the same time their more obvious than a lying politician when she does her um, neutral, unbiased specials and journalistic pieces. Puuuhhhleaaase.

"OK, so Rosie's got a bone to pick with Bush. How many people did Rosie kill? You may hate her, but she did make a point, that was never answered."
Um, who doesn't have a bone with Bush, as if her opinions are somehow unheralded, repressed, or rare. With his approval ratings, her opinions are of the vast majority, she's not bravely sticking her neck out with some unpopular diatribe at all.
What point was never answered? Elizabeth does not make the best sparring partner IMO.
Of course the war is the stupidest muck up ever. I'm a Republican in philosophy (smaller gvnt), but anyone with any sense can see that. It's as obvious as someone saying the surface of the sun is too hot for a pool party.
Trump was right about Rosie. Rosie was right about Trump.
Now can we ignore them? -

by christian2007 injust introducing myself to all the friends.
i am a new member to this forum and i'm just popping in to say hello to you all and "checking in".
i like to write in forums and have gotten in trouble in some because of my adamance in denying the doctrine of the trinity.

Hi Christian,
Why not just be a person FIRST and a position second. I think that Jehovah's Witnesses have had more discussions about the Trinity than Meteoroligists have of the weather. I think it's rather a sour subject, and posting on a message board does not really incline people to your cause. Particularly if you're a one note wonder.
Besides, majority here are atheist/agnostic/some alternative religion. Why argue the nature of something that most people on here don't believe in/care about/have issues with:). That's like persistently pointing out the color of a cephalopod to someone who doesn't believe that they even exist.
anyways, nuff said. I just think you should hold off on a manifest destiny w/ your first post is all. -

It's always astonishing how many new people turn up every month, especially if you are away as I tend to be for a couple weeks. Very encouraging too!
The only beef I have with these newbies is that they're always outstripping my post count of over a year in a matter of weeks. I feel so unproductive! -

Finally! Jehovah's Witnesses come to see smellsgood!
by smellsgood injust now, i had two living, breathing, proseltyzing jehovah's witnesses come to the door.
it's been yeaarrrs!
one was very skinny and the other the other persuasion (i wonder how she would appreciate the articles re: overweight people printed in the seventies?).

I realise now that my encounter doesn't make the most captivating story. I was very excited, though the details fall short of exciting. Hopefully I'll have a better tale if they come again. The one in green making the presentation SEEMED very enthusiastic about it...the other one looked like she'd rather be home watching Hannah Montanna.
...what comes next? -

What's this about changing shirts? Are we supposed to change shirts? How often? ;)>>>
Poppers, now there's the truth. I can see you are a man of reason. Good heavens, am I to be a slave to laundry? I have one shirt for every day of the week. Really. ONE shirt. :) -

<<<<BTW, when you get an offer, make sure the people are not in the middle of a divorce, get a good earnest money deposit and cover your tush. . .we had a sale fail when buyer was not honest, and he ended up getting his earnest $ back even though he had issues with getting financing that the hadn't revealed to us from the get go, that he should have. Probably not common, but make sure RE agent REALLY vets the buyers credibility and offer.>>>>>
Thanks for the advice JWDaughter. We have recently succumbed and hired a realtor although it is extraordinarily difficult to give up that kind of money. I hope that he would deal with that stuff, and I'm not the homeowner, but I will pass that on ;)
We had a ton of scam e-mails from the FSBO anyways. Hello, my name is Emmanuel Smith, and I'm a lawyer from Ecuador. My clients have a great deal of money in an account, only accessible if I can sucker you out of 10 grand first. I'm very honest when I'm lying... -

Thanks Megsmomma!
Well, I've never been in the dark so to speak about the Witnesses, I've never been one in case you didn't know! ;)
But yes, I have spent much time yearning for their visits and my mind is positively whirling with ideas right now. I've really gotta brush up on some stuff I've realised.
<<<<<That dub was super-pissed when he left our door. The conversation didn't go his way, and he made a real effort to ignore the plastic lawn chairs and kites that were pictured in Paradise Erf.>>>>>>
Awesome! Yeah, I always think of how much better off we are than in the past (at least here in the West).
The pictures in the booklet are positively creepy, I don't understand how they would arouse any feelings but those of contempt and anger. They're so manufactured and ridiculous! I showed some to my younger siblings and they agreed wholeheartedly.
Thank you Madame Quixote!
<<<<<<You haven't changed your shirt in a week? smellsnotsogood!>>>>
Oh, I'm positively putrid. I had a week of eucalyptus and menthol amongst other things encrusted on my shirt. I like to think though that I could have added an owl pellet on my shoulder and I'd still have better style and more sex appeal than Miss Spears (ooh topical! It's Britney Bitch).
I realised after I posted I was also wearing some USCG jogging pants(United States Coast Guard, it says it right on the ass, so you could say I was covering all angles). They must have thought I was some sort of recruiter. Only other thing I could have done was bellow "ATTENTION" click my heels together and salute.
<<<<<No doubt you would have plenty of things to argue with them but the JWs once they realise someone is too smart for them they put it down to him/her being hopelessly blinded by false religion and don't bother coming back. The reality is of course the opposite they are the ones that got blinded.>>>>>
Yes they are almost impossible nuts to crack I realise. I shall have to be as wise as a serpent and as innocent as a Pope.
<<<<OH I hope they come back! And I know you'll tell us about it when they do!>>>
Mos def. Renee. It shall be my primary objective.
