it's amazing how, if the jw captives die in captivity, then the jw's will spin it that "time and unforseen occurance" happens to all (even loyal jws).

Mark my words:

Something, good or bad, will happen in the Philippines to upstage and draw attention away from the upcoming protest in Brooklyn.

The Philippines are just too vulnerable to sneaky/backdoor/do-me-a-favor/used-to-know-your-brother/anything-for-a-payoff/under-the-table crap.

And the poor Philippine JW captives are nothing more than 'props', if the WTS can figure out how to use them for its own self promotion.

Watch this unfold. Watch it carefully.

Just as Clinton bombed Iraq to take the heat off the Monica thing, so too will the WTS sacrifice their hostages, if it can serve to get the heat off of them.

The ironic thing is, the Philippine Muslims can't stand JWs. The BEST THING they could do for their own cause would be to let them go. It would pull the rug out from under the WTS and whatever 'plans' they might have for using them as a future media 'event'.

in your personal experience , did you find that you could trust a witness more than you could a non-jw?

remember when elders took pride in dfing someone - like they got a notch on their judgmental belt of righteousness?.

remember when parents would brag about kicking their kids out if they did want to serve jah or if the kid got dfd and the father didnt want to lose his position in the k-hall and threw the kid out?.

remember when catastrophes would happen to other people/nations and jws would laugh about it and consider it just part of the last days?.

About 'nice JWs'. The bottom line is that ALL JWs, irregardless of everything, all JWs believe in their hearts that their own personal salvation is Primo.

The most important thing, in their life, in your life, in their family's life, their children's lives, in the world - everywhere and above all - is their own salvation. Their opportunity to live on a 'paradise earth' - even if it's without everything and everyone they've ever loved and who has ever loved them. They come first and damn everyone else and all the consequences of that.

And they have the audacity to believe that God thinks so, too.

How 'nice' can they possibly be?

I would agree that JWs are VERY GOOD at appearing to be nice.

But appearances are also primo to JWs. So I would consider that to not be worth anything.

It would seem that something ought to happen in Patterson as well then. Where is Patterson? Is it far from NY City?

I know it's a dreary thought, but honestly, I would not put anything past these guys.

I'm sure THEY have full access to the 27,000 files. And yet they continue to 'lead' this religion? And to keep it all hidden and to themselves?

Could they possibly be as naive as the next JW or are they just plain evil?

Now that you've shown us where to find their bios and pictures, I hope they will be made into posters for the march.

JWs need to see that these are PEOPLE, not fairies.

THEY are the ones left holding the bag. 'The buck stops HERE'.

These crimes and coverups are THEIR responsibility.

They need to be made to face their accountability.

What will happen the day of the march?

I say something will happen in the Philippines to overshadow the march.

Either the Society will pay off the captors and so the 'news' of the day will be their release (and aren't we bad to rain on their parade?), or the Society will manipulate the situation so that the captives are slaughtered and, again, that will be the 'news' of the day (and aren't we bad to have no love and mercy to show for those poor persecuted people, those 'real' victims?)

Sorry, but you asked. Those are my real predictions.

Witnessing to witnesses tips

i've just registered on this site.

i'd like to kick off by asking this wealth of experience what your most successful witnessing to witnesses tips are.

so if you're a non-and-has-never-been-a-jw, what stops them in their tracks?

I sometimes fantacize saying that:

"If the only people left in the world are going to be JWs, I just wouldn't want to be there."

"If God is who JWs say he is, then God is an asshole and he doesn't deserve me and probably not you, either."

I also dream of handing them copies of Bergman's article, 'Why Jehovahs Witnesses Have Mental Problems' and/or the latest transcripts from Dateline, BBC, NYT, etc., etc.
