Very, very funny.
Tho I gotta' tell ya' - cute black babies DO look like monkeys.
As opposed to cute white babies who look like little old men.

things i saw as a jw:.
* the "f" word spelled out on the information board in the back of the hall.
the person used the tacks used for posting letters and talks and spelled out the expletive.
Very, very funny.

i'm relatively new here and this site has helped me a lot.
however, i think i'm going to need more help... i was dfed back in july just after my 18th birthday; i just couldn't take it any more.
things have been very hard for me to say the least.
There are some truly wonderful things happening in open adoptions.
Where you could put your child up for adoption but remain in their life, as needed (by the child, not by you - tho often families visit each other a lot during that first year, when there are so many wonderful things happening and it's not yet confusing for the child).
The point is, you would find a lot of support and counseling through adoption services and all of you could kind of 'grow up together' timewise.
Ultimately, you would both also have a little bit of 'family' that it doesn't sound like you have now.
Other good things to consider:
* You'd be making some infertile couple truly, deeply happy. (You get to pick who it would be).
* You'd be transforming a very difficult situation and one that you might be tragically sorry for, into a wonderful blessing for everyone. For you, for your girlfriend, for your child and for the very hopeful unknown couple you haven't met yet.
* You get to 'start over' with all of this, without destoying someone else's life.
Precaution - don't go through a private attorney with someone you find in the newspaper. Go through an established agency where no one is in a position to 'scam' you for anything..
.
this is very interesting,.

FYI - the author of this article (who, in addition to being very highly educated, is also brilliant, insightful and compassionate) posts on this site. Look him up on the member list (Jerry Bergman).
Incidentally, talk about slander, the WTS has done everything they can think of to try to destroy this man's professional reputation and credibility.
All the more enjoyable to watch their house of cards coming down.
yes your old pal bendrr has gone and done it this time!
i've committed myself to hosting christmas day at my place and that includes cooking a christmas dinner for at least 11 people.. i already planned on my "adopted" family coming over which would be no big deal, just snacks and a few beers.
but this year i spent thanksgiving with my older brother and his family.
Trust me, you can get lost in this place but you will so ENJOY it!
Recipes from the many cooking magazines listed - and others.
To really enjoy it, click on the 'advanced search'.
You can choose the ethnicity (in this case, Italian). The occasion (Christmas) and whatever else. (Or none of it).
Then choose an ingredient, such as brussel sprouts, or a course, such as side dish or dessert.
You can even choose how you would like it to be prepared (boil, broil, bake, saute, etc.)
And BEST OF ALL are the comments with most recipes from people who have made it. They rate it. They tell how they liked it, what they changed or added or would change next time and etc., etc., etc.
And once in awhile, there's even a picture!
There are THOUSANDS of recipes here. Don't forget to come up for air.
You've got guests coming over for Christmas, remember?
Enjoy!
hey all,.
left the org approx.
one month ago, so i'm freshly out and still working my way through the depression of losing my three best friends... but anyway, not important, what i was wondering was if any of you got this line from the elders the night you went to meet with them... so here's my story, take it or leave it.. i'm a homosexual, i've known since i was young, not raised in "the truth" but converted when i was seventeen, four years ago... anyway, i suppressed it, etc, until i decided that i wanted to leave the org.
Just imagine if you'd known about this BEFORE you got involved.
We need to warn people that when it comes to JWs, once you get in - even a little, it's almost impossible to get out. Certainly impossible to get out in any honest, reasonable or respectful way.
And whatever friends you might first think you're making there, they're just booby traps. Ready to drop you like a hot potato if you don't 'submit' to the WTS as if it were God himself.
the questions:.
if someone disassociated themselves from the watchtower society due to research that convinced them that the watchtower was erroneous on many issues and yet still felt convinced that jehovah is much more gracious with regards to salvation than what we learned through the watchtower, is it possible for such a one to get reinstated, even if they did not believe numerous things that the watchtower teaches?.
but is this possible if someone still does not believe that certain doctrines the watchtower teaches are bible based (i.e.
1914, blood transfusions, disfellowshipping - and pedophilia, etc.
NOT in that order

In case any people from France browse through this post, I just have to say that I really admire, support and respect what France is doing and has tried to do as far as JWs are concerned. May you continue your attempts to enlighten and protect your children and your citizens from this destructive 'religion'.
Et non. Je ne parle pas le francais. ;-)
fascist and the church of.
corporate mammon .
"by their fruits shall ye recognize them": this paleo-semitic thinking, is as every bit an axiomatic statement about evidence collection as the hellenic system so pervasive in western society today.
Can somebody condense this original post into '25 words or less'?
Just so I have a starting point??! I'm lost.

things must be getting tough for the 'number puffing' theocrats in japan.. .
3802 congregations (1999 yearbook).
3213 congregations (latest report).
Unlike the easily scandalized US, which just shrugs off a whole lot of really crummy stuff and keeps right on goin', 'shame' in Japanese and other Asian societies is a BIG 'no-no'.
'As for me and my household...' we're with the Japanese on this one!
the following letter is published in the november 12 issue of the camden advertiser in nsw, australia, under the heading "watch religion": i hope others will be more cautious than myself before getting involved in some forms of religion.
after 30 years of servitude to the jehovah's witness religion, this is done at a huge personal cost.
in line with the official policy of the watchtower organisation, all of my previous friends and family, including my own mother, have had to completely shun me and my children, for fear of being "disfellowshipped" themselves.
I think we would all do well to continue making this point as often as we can, in whatever way we can. Perhaps through our own public letters or commentary. During interviews with the media. Or just in our own casual discussions about JWs. Especially when asked by the curious.
Excellent letter.
