i hated growing up as a witness.
i hated the boring ass meetings where you could hear a pin drop on the floor, i hated going door to door and i hated not being normal like the other kids.. but the one thing i liked was going to the assemlies at the oakland coliseum.
i would wander around and find other kids to goof around with.

there are some jw's who will leave the watchtower orginization for years and then suddenly show back up at the kh often saying they have regrets of leaving and are often heard to say.. "there is nothing out there.".
as i contemplate my official exit from the borg, this question keeps coming up.... what is it that makes these people return to the borg after leaving for years?.

I actually did that very thing. I was gone out there doing my own thing for 12 years. No meeting No memorial No nothing. Then my mother started laying all that Watcthtower crap on me and how the Society has changed and The New World. So I bit and really started getting into it. And the more I got into it the more I saw how things aren't right. Now I'm on my way out again. Its sad but some people do come back. Can't explain why?

i had a little secret rebelion i kept up all the way through my jw time!
i refused to learn the books of the bible or to remember scriptures!!!
even when i was a genuine, super-zelous ms!!.
Have done that Field Service thing forever. Always pretend to ring the doorbell. Sometimes knock but never loud enough to be heard. And if someone did come to the door, instead of giving that presentation I would just hand them a tract and ask them to read this. End of presentation. But always watch you back.

Hey,
I live in the south and once a month on the last Sundy of the month my JW mom invites a lot of people over for a major Sunday dinner. There are witnesses and family members. There is so much food. WE are talking about fried chicken, chitterlings, pigs feet, ribs brown rice, candy yams and much much more. And since th witnesses are there you know there is plenty to DRINK. One brother even makes his special drink that he is known for. My dad has a movie on the big screen and there is very little talk about Jehovah. Just everyone having a great time.

first i get a group of gullible people and tell me that i am in possession of the only true religion.
then i print a whole bunch of books and magazines using free workers who are only too glad to have the "privilege" of working free for the "lord" at my book printing headquarters and then i tell my local groups of gullible people that it is the will of god they buy all the books and magazines i print, not just one copy but mutiple copies.
of course, each person in their family has to have their own copy too, no sharing books.
Well...When you put it that way......
in the january 1 issue of each year, they harp on about how many hours the jws did last year etc etc.. how many hours are possibly falsely reported?.
discuss,please
I know the time has to be over inflated. I know I report 4 hours a month. Thats my family study every week. Which in turn lets me report one bible study. Which in turn lets me report 4 return visits. Then I add one hour for door to door work. Thats 5 hours 4rvs and 1 bs. When the real deal is I haven't done any time at all. Now if I'm doing that how many more people are doing the same. The hours can not in any way shape or form be true.

i was once counselled by the elders for watching 'knots landing'....it became widely known in the congregation that me and a few other sisters would rush home from field service to watch our favourite soapie.
if we missed it, we would ring each other up for an update...or...if we weren't near a tv we would ask someone to put the phone handset on the top of their tv so we could hear it...pathetic huh...but that was all the excitement we could scrounge up in our otherwise dull and uneventful lives.
one of the elder's wive's conscience got the better of her...and she confessed to her husband..lol.
This actually happened to my brother.
He shaves his head. You know that Michael Jorden look. The brothers actually told him that if he wanted any privileges,he would have to stop shaving his head like the world. One minute long hair is being part of the world. The next minute no hair is part of the world. How do you win??
