ALL Time FAVORITE Vacation Spot?

" i didn't get to vacation this year but will most likely be vacationing somewhere far away from texas next summer.

I stayed in trouble. DF twice. Public Reproved numerous times. Privately reproved once. ( Does anyone remember private reproof. I don't even know if they still do that one.) And talked to many times. I've been in that backroom so much it shouldn't be called the soundroom. It should be called Diamonds Room.

YOU CAN TELL THEY'RE A WITNESS BECAUSE...

for example, you're on vacation in a very warm climate and you see 2 men dressed in suits....they must be witnesses.
or you go to a sporting event and you see a group of guys suddenly run for the nearest bathroom and the national anthem is just about to be played....they must be witnesses.

Its Saturday morning. You're out mowing the grass and six 4 door cars with people all dressed up come down your street like its a parade or something. 3 cars pull over to the side the other 3 go down to the next block and pull over. They all get out of the cars. Have a major discussion about something for 15 mins. Then start a slow stroll working house over house unitl they meet.
Or its early Saturday morning and at your local fast food resturant you see people in suits ties and dresses drinking coffee and baiscally waisting time.

The dumbest way you got caught?
by kat7302 inive done some pretty stupid things in my time but i think the prize had to go to the time i was 14, out shopping and desperate for a cigarette..... i went into a secluded cafe so there was less chance of being spotted and was relieved to find that there was only one other couple in there.
i sat down with my coffee and confidently lit up, casually asking the guy on the next table to pass the ashtray.. next week i was hauled in front of the elders for smoking and found to my dismay that the guy sat next to me was a ministerial servant who recognised me from being on the last assembly programme giving my experiences!.

When I was 16 I took a young lady to a hotel to do that fornicaton thang. But I was smart I took her out of town. That way was safer than doing it in the city I live in. Well to my surprise a sister in our congregation worked as a cleaning lady in the hotel. So needless to say I was talked to for skipping school and DF for fornication. How dumb is that.

First of all the me say:Minimus I love your threads. Let me relate my tale. I was driving a beat up old car. I was always putting money into it. Besides that it was the only car we had. I need a car for work therefore my wife had to take the bus. We finally went out and bought a car. Didn't tell a soul just showed up with it at the meeting one Sunday. We didn't have much money so we bought what we could afford. It was a 2 door sports car.. And my wife looked so good driving it. Not only were we referred to as being materialistic but a pioneer sister had the nerve to ask "What kind of field serive car is that!!!!!!" Can you believe that. I'm trying to buy what I can afford not some car to haul a bunch of people around in. The sad part is that some of them seemed alot happier when we had to drive the beat up old car. Go figure.

PREJUDICE---HAVE YOU BEEN AFFECTED BY IT?

there were many black and white families and there were other nationalities in the area.for the most part, i do not recall seeing obvious prejudice manifest in the congregation.
have you seen or experienced prejudice from congregation members?

I was raised in the south. And back in the early 70's we had 2 congregations. One was black and the other white. This went on for sometime. But now there are over 12 congregations there and they are very well mixed. There is even a Spanish and Korean congregation. Something that was unheard of years ago.
But to answer your queston. I've never experienced prejudice. I'm not saying it wasn't there. I just never saw it.

special one day assembly
