I think the Dubs have all but killed it for me. I'm almost ashamed to say that after being a dub for over 30 years. I have very little desire to know God. I would have to say on most days 0 on a bad day 1. And this after all I've been taught about Jehovah Jesus and religion.

Great thread. I thought I was the only one on this board still going to meetings.
I stopped going to the book study all together. I go to the service meeting once a month maybe. I still attend the Public Talk and WT every Sunday.
This keeps the Elders off my ass.

i remember baking in the hot sun, with the outdoor district conventions.
the only thing i liked about them was lunch time.
back in the day, then i could grab the little coupons, ten to a page, each worth 10 cents.
Does anyone remember back in the 70's when the assembly would last all day and night. It was start like 9 or 10 in the morning. Then you would take the lunch break and then come back for the afternoon session. Then there would be a dinner break and you would stay unitl almost 9 at night. No Joke. Is that not crazy. How can a child sit through all that. At the time you had no choice. Just do as you are told and like it.
The only fun at convention was hanging with my friends and standing on the wall watching girls go by. Then when you go as an adult there is nothing fun about them at all.
Assembly memories...Yeh I have them. And they are all BAD!!!!!!

how many lives did you effect, have you tried speaking to them say by letters or emails.
No guilt at all...Never had a bible study. Placed a few mags but never followed up on them. And now I don't go out in service at all.

Yes he does. The word genius is thrown around to much especially in the world of music. But if you really give his music an honest listen you will hear a genius. The man can write. His lyrics are great and meaningful. Now wheather you agree with him or not now thats a different story. But just give it a listen. Go into your childs CD collection and listen to Stan,Cleaning out my closet,I am whatever you say I am or Without me and you will see the genius that is Marshall Mathers.
By the way I'm not some 18 year old hip hop fan. I'm a 42 year old who was brought up listening to R&B and kick ass Rock &Roll. I just know good muisc when I hear it.

Anyway tomorrow (Mon), I'm letting my 9 year old daughter have a party. No gifts and no boys. (I"m to old to go to jail for killing someones son because he wants to play...I'll show you mine if you show me yours). But I digress.
We are having a party with all her "worldly friends" and a few witnesses. I asked her what time she wanted to start the party and she said 10am (What was I thinking asking that question). And since school is out on Tuesday and all the kids live in the neighborhood the party won't end unitl midnight I'm sure. But it will be something special for her and she is very excited. Even her mother is down for it. Even though she is a dub she knows the kids get left out when it comes to this. Slowly but surely I'm bringing her over to the dark side.
It should be a good time for all. This is just the first of many.

if someone disassociated themselves from the watchtower society due to research that convinced them that the watchtower was erroneous on many issues and yet still felt convinced that jehovah is much more gracious with regards to salvation than what we learned through the watchtower, is it possible for such a one to get reinstated, even if they did not believe numerous things that the watchtower teaches?
but is this possible if someone still does not believe that certain doctrines the watchtower teaches are bible based (i.e.
: 1914, blood transfusions, disfellowshipping, etc)?
Come on people I'm not that deep to comment on this but I know someone out there is.
