we all have different opinions, and can argue our points "ad nauseam" but we live free, are able to speak our minds, and worship as we wish..or not.. i am not registered red or blue, but appreciate living in this country and the freedom to think for myself.

i was recently discussing this topic with my "pentacostal" fire and brimstone preaching granduncle.
he said that alot of christians try to be "politically correct" and wiggle out of this question for fear of "turning" people away.
he said that most born-again christians that believe in hell fire do believe that jehovah is going to torment babies in hell if their parents have not accepted jesus as their lord and savior.
You are asking a quick answer on both which is not possible.
The previous pope of the Catholic Church 10 years ago sent out a statment that hellfire was in the imagination of the masses, and that this idea had been in the minds of the parishoners for many years. (This never made big media coverage but is available)
The Lake of Fire according to what I was taught was the second death or was no resurrection in the new order.
No one is going to hell, no one is burning up, no one is suffering.
Relax, the most that can happen is we rest in peace when we die.

many on here say they are being shunned by their family members.in some case this is probably true.
but seriously..could it be that they have a life and they may not have time for you anyway?

Dear Snoozy,
I was a mother's dream daughter along with my husband who is not a JW, helping her where no one else could, or would. She told me that I was her absolute best friend for the past 20 years. I am the executive of her trust, and stood by her side helping for 4 months as my father laid dieing of bone cancer.
We have always had so much fun together shopping, decorating our homes, getting each others opinion on the same and always supporting each other.
I encouraged her (always) when she was pioneering, also to buy a certain home so that she could be closer to the KH and have the bookstudy in her house.
I helped her with landscaping, and sending MAJOR money to the society etc.
A little over a month ago, some Circuit Overseer recommended to her that she shun me.
I have not heard from her since but was delivered a 3 page type written letter thanking me for all I had done but she must now disown me because I have been gone 30 years and still smoke.
I really am quite upset at your question. I don't think you know what your asking.
I would post the letter sent to me by my mother but it would give too much away.

You put a smile on my heart today. It's nice to know husbands in their later years still consider their wives a beauty....and that she was!

why have such a large family?
when we are out together we get questions like is this a school group?, are they all yours?, are you catholic or mormon?, dont you know what causes this?
these questions give us many opportunities to share with others the hope that is in us, that children are a gift from god.
FIFTEEN? I would like to hear your wife's viewpoint about this. I personally cannot imagine delivering that many babies without being absolutely worn into the ground. I'm glad you are so happy and hope all continues to go well. I also hope you are able to support, educate, and insure that many children.

I can't believe how they keep teaching something and then change it all up for a new article in the Watchtower...Do you remember the song "Keep Your Eyes on the Prize"? I wonder if thats still in the song book.
It kind of flies in the face of focusing too much on the future along with everything else that was beaten into our heads through the years.
