  I am glad you joined us, please give us alittle more info on your bio. Did you ever personally know any JW's? One of my solutions to my personal healing process after I resigned, I went undercover, back into the lion's den of this cult to rescue my daughter and two granddaughters, even though it took two years, it was worth it.

  Would love to hear any healing suggestions you might have for those that are suffering now from the mal-treatment of this cult.

  At a crossroads, need advice

  over the last few years i have been trying unsucessfully to get my wife out of the org.

  we've had a lot of ups & downs, arguments, and miserable times.

  well, my wife has finally told me that she will respect my decision to no longer be a jw, and i can also do what i feel is best for our children in this respect.

  LET ME CONGRATULATE YOU ON YOUR DECISION MAKING, IT IS NOT EASY TO MAKE LIFE CHANGING DECISIONS.

  EVERYONG ONE IS DIFFERENT AS TO HOW TO HANDLE DIFFICULT PROBLEMS SUCH AS YOURS WITH CHILDREN'S WELL BEING IS AT STAKE. CONSIDER ALL YOUR OPTIONS, THEN GO WITH YOU CONSCIENCE.

  ONE SUGGESTION, BECAUSE DEPROGRAMMING IS A SLOW PROCESS, EDUCATE YOURSELF, BY EXAMINING THE COMMON THREAD THAT LINKS ALL RELIGIOUS CULTS.

  1. CULT LEADERS CLAIM THEY ARE THE (ONLY VOICE OF GOD)

  2. MEMBERS ARE PROHIBITED TO QUESTION THE ESTABLISHED TEACHINGS.

  3. CONFORMITY AND MENTAL DOMINATION.

  4. ISOLATION: MEMBERS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO SOCIALIZE WITH ANYONE THAT IS NOT OF THEIR OWN FAITH, INCLUDING PARTICIPATION IN SCHOOL PROGRAMS, SUCH AS THE ARTS AND SPORTS.

  THERE ARE MANY MORE THAT IDENTIFY CULTS, BUT THIS IS A GOOD START FOR YOU. REMEMBER, RELIGIOUS MAL-TREATMENT IS NOT BLESSED BY GOD'S SPIRT, SO YOU CAN BE REASSURED THAT GOD WILL BLESS YOU AND KEEP YOU STRONG DURING THIS PROCESS, AS I FOUND OUT WHEN I RESCUED MY DAUGHTER FROM THIS CULT.

  it is a shame that people are here portraying themselves as jehovah's witness as having some knowlege or going to meetings.

  what exists here is a complete lack of faith in anything.

  and a great amount of stupidity.

  Does anyone else feel like their damaged goods?

  i feel like this all the time.

  i have a husband that loves me, but i still feel like if i ever were on the singles market that i would not be a "good catch".

  my health problems and most of all being a former jehovah's witness makes me feel less than perfect.. i'm having a pity party.

  THE REASON THE EX-WITNESSES LEFT IN THE FIRST PLACE IS BECAUSE THEY NO LONGER WANTED TO BE DAMAGED GOODS !

  WHY IS EVERYONE WORLD WIDE LEAVING THEIR CULT-LIKE ORGANIZATIONS? BECAUSE THIS IS THE DAY OF THE (GREAT EXPOSE') WHILE STILL HAVING THEIR APPREACIATION OF SPIRITUALITY LEFT IN CHECK. NO LONGER ARE WE FOLLOWING BLIND GUIDES THAT HAVE THEIR OWN INTEREST AT HEART.

  WE ARE NOT REBOTS, WITH NO SELF-DIRECTION, GOD GAVE US A CONSCIENCE AND THE RIGHTEOUS WILL USE IT FOR THE GOOD.

  THIS IS A TIME TO REJOICE, FOR NOW WE ARE FREE TO WORSHIP GOD ACCORDING TO OUR CONSCIENCE

  WHEN WE LEAVE A MIND-CONTROLLING RELIGION...IT IS NATURAL TO FEEL GUILTY OR DAMAGED, IT IS BECAUSE THE CULT-LIKE FOG OF THEIR CONTROL HASN'T YET LIFTED COMPLETELY BUT IT WILL IN TIME. GOOD LUCK !

  How sad that the Society never provided a retirement benefit for those devoting their whole life in what they thought was right, I am surprised they (GB) came up with a benefit plan for the ex-Bethelites.

  Does anyone have data on how many annually are leaving, that is going out the back door? Ha !
