  I heard racism remarks first hand as a kid,at a Texas assembly..Pretty shocking for a JW kid...OUTLAW

  This was my experience too. I was absolutely shocked when i heard an elder speak this way, and I excused the whole incident. But this elder spoke this way on a regular basis, and then i strted noticing other elders making racist comments too, after awhile, I just couldn't excuse it any more. I was raised to believe that we (JW's) were not racists, boy was I wrong.

  They give anti-racism lipservice, but do nothing about it when it happens.

  I have heard many racist remarks in the org. I have never heard of anyone being hauled in front of a JC for it.

  Yeah i used to think their wasn't any racism among witness's.

  And yes their are mixed marraiges in Jdub land.

  but when I heard elders in texas use the n word, and also make racist comments regarding Mexicans, I knew that racism was alive and well in the org.

  And what about all those white men on the GB? Only recently have they included a token black man.

  Did anyone just get tired?

  during my days as a witness, which was only about 10 years ending circa 1981, most of my memories revolve around how totally exhausted i always felt.

  toward the last, i was dragging my family out to the five meetings a week and working fulltime and getting my quota of publisher hours on the little sheet every month, even doing the temporary pioneering bit now and again.

  when i had the ministry school, i even worked a four day week to be able to give every talk on the program in case someone did not show up, which frequently happened in our little congregation west of fort worth, tx.

  It was my mental exhaustion that finally persuaded me to leave.

  Once I left, I could not believe how physically exhausted I was too, I was raised a dub, so being exhausted all my life seemed normal.

  The Society loves to go on and on about how important it is to use the name.

  But then admits that Jehovah isn't really the correct spelling or pronunciation, and no one really knows the correct name. haha what a joke.

  If it was so damn important, then doncha think we'd have the correct name?

  Alone With the Opposite Sex

  over the last few months i have been training three different men for backup position of my job.. we are alone in my car all day.. as a jw, i remember one time, needing to go to another congo in a different town to work on a part at an assembly.

  i was to ride with the brother doing the part.

  he was probably at least 30+ years older than me.

  While i was a dub, if i was ever alone with a man, all i could think about was sex sex SEX! It didn't matter who the guy was.

  The society would have you believe that sex is a time bomb wiating for two people to be alone so it can explode in their face and make them lose all control.

  Now that i am no longer a JW, I can be alone with men and sexual thoughts never even come up ......(usually).

  i have been in the truth my whole life and tomorrow i turn 32!

  the last year i have been fading and haven't been to the kh since the memorial.

  i can't tell you how it has been such a heavy burden lifted off my shoulders not to have to worry about so many meetings!!!

  I sigh with relief that i don't have to do that anymore.

  i was always very cautious with worldly people but of course i trusted everyone in the congregation 100%.

  i trusted someone from the congregation with a business deal and got raked over the coals.

  its a long and frustrating story, suffice it to say it cost me a lot of anguish, time and money.

  but is it apostacy --- not being repentant for anything (no matter what the "sin" is) --- saying *something* (i forget what) about the "holy spirit"- this last one seems sorta familiar... .

  The unforgivable sin, is sinning against the holy spirit.

  No, I cannot explain what "sinning against the holy spirit" is, and neither can the Society.

  They write pages and pages explaining what this is, and you will not find the answer in any of it.
