I inhaled CofC, every sentence, every paragragh carefully read, again and again.
Christion freedom just sits on the shelf, I've flipped through it a few times, just can't get interested.
But then again, I'm an agnostic, so why would it interest me?

HELP ME, HELP ME...PLEASE!!!
by Quentin interry gave me a copy of "in search of christian freedom"...no disrespect to ray franz...i am bored to tears....can't get past the frist chapter...soaked up coc, turned around and soaked it up again.... highly recomend coc to any jw (one that's not brain dead) or ex-jw (also not brain dead) who needs to know something about how the tower works....great book.... sigh, i seem to no longer have the attention span it takes to read a book of this depth....a sad commentary on me...has the internet dumbed some people down to the point that they can no longer read a book?
if that's what's happended somebody shoot me please... .

Wildflower, I have to agree with what you said about a "good black" and one of "those". Your post made me think of an incident that happened with an old boyfriend.
I was crazy in love with him and thought he belonged on a pedistal. We stopped for gas one day and the station attendant was less then friendly toward my beloved. As he got back in the car he said "damn n-----" under his breath. Then he looked up at me, a little embarrassed and then clarified his statement, he said "not all blacks are n-----s, just some of them".
Since then, I've seen this attitude among other people again and again.
I think most people here in the US like to believe they are not racist, but when the proof comes out, it makes them angry.
Obama would do well not to play the race card, if he does, whites will get pissed at him.

I never thought I had any racial bias.
I'm a massage therapists and have worked on all types of people. I recently discovered that I don't want to touch a man from the middle east with a ten foot pole. Quite a surprise to me, I had never given it any thought before, but when the opertunity almost came up, the realization did too.
So I guess i have to admit to some bias.

Dogs on the bed yes no?
by restrangled inthis is a lighter topic.. how do you feel about your dogs on the bed?
forbid it?.
my boys are allowed on the bed all day but at night we say "down to the crate" the crate happens to be a very expensive leather couch with many pillows.. they listen to what ever we say, but the human bed seems to be the best place.. i change the sheets every other day.....can't stand the itchy, scrachties!.

I love my dog but he is not allowed on any furniture, much less my bed.
My dog is 130 lbs and will constantly challenge my dominance if i let him.
He's also not allowed to walk or sit in front of me or enter a room ahead of me.
I only outweigh him by a few pounds so keeping the alpha position is important.
Alphas dont allow other dogs to sleep in there beds

Nope i did not. But i really should have, my exJW hubby and I had an incredibly bad sex life.
My current hubby and I lived together some time before marraige.
Getting married as virgins is stupid, stupid, stupid.

(some evil apostates had been helpful and informed the paper weeks before i got my november issues of the wt.).
my thoughts was.

I had allready faded and stopped believing when the generation change happened.
I had a really good laugh over it, I still think its hilarious, how could we have been so dense!
Shortly thereafter my forever pioneering sister tried to tell me how everything the society teaches can be backed up by the bible.
I said " I know, a few months ago you could have proven to me, for a fact, that the generation that saw 1914 will not pass away before the big A, and now you can use the bible to prove for a fact, that "generation" just means a general group of people".
She had no reply.
Later she tried to tell me that she believed what she believes because of her own personal study, not because the society tells her to believe it.
I mentioned that it was pretty amazing how her belief about what "generation" means changed at the same time that the society decided it meant something else.....how did that happen? Was it really her own personal study that changed her mind?
She again had no comment.

I remember those one word coached answers.
I hated it, because the whole congreagation would laugh at me.
Yeah, I know they were laughing because they thought it was cute.
But even a five year dislikes being treated in a condescending manner.
After the first couple of times i only did it when my parents forced me to because it felt demeening even at that young age.
