how many insiders?
by agent zero inhi everyone, i'm new here, been viewing the board for a while, decided to join yesterday.. so i'm about 95% convinced now the wts is bogus, but i'm still in coz as yall know leaving is the hardest part.
i plan on doing a fade to avoid the complete disconnection, but first want to gradually help my gf to see things too.
in the meantime, i'm just wondering how many of you are still "active" jdubs?

I re-entered the Matrix
by digderidoo inrecently i posted a thread that i no longer wish to take part in discussions here as i felt uncomfortable wt bashing.
however, i feel that i have to start posting if only from time to time as i am at a very different stage as i was only 4 weeks ago.
i know i haven't been 'disfellowshipped' from here, even though i've disagreed with forum rules recently or have i 'disassociated' myself from this board as i still feel myself drawn to it.. i'll try to be brief with this, but the content could be drawn out.. as some of you are aware i have been battling alcoholism or alcohol dependency as i prefer to call it now (thats another story).

Interesting stuff lance. I have not thought of this that Babylon conquered Assyria in 609 BCE. I should read Johnsons book.
I also haven't come across the other translations of "for" babylon instead of "at" babylon.

The flaw is that you, as well as the WT, want to make a prophesy fit into history. Could it be possible that the prophesy was missapplied of never came true at all?
I do not want to make any prophecies. What i want to do is look at all the evidence before i make a decision. I do not want to accept that 587/6 is the date just because the majority of scholars say so. I would rather examine it for myself. Upon examing it the probability is that 587/6 is the date, but it is not 100% as some portray.
And yes the prophecy is/was missapplied.

The thing that has me about 607 v 587/6 is that the latter doesn't take into account the 70 year desolation. For me scholars should at the very least take the bible as an historical document. I am not saying 607 is the date, but 587/6 has a flaw.

"Queenie" has passed away
by Brymichmom ini got an email from her daughter lisa this morning regarding "queenie", who used to post on this forum as well as others, such as my yahoo groups.
many of you long timers on this forum probably remember queenie.
she had multiple health problems and took a turn for the worse last month after a fall and died yesterday.
