SCANNED ARTICLE ON BLOOD FRACTIONS 'WORKBOOK'
by Mary ini'm not sure if this has ever been posted, but here's the uh "workbook" that all jws are given regarding blood fractions.
of course, the hypocrisy shines through as when it asks "are fractions also covered by the command to abstain from blood?
we cannot say" and "your decisions should be your own and should not be based on someone else's conscience.

I need some input (Migraines)
by Tired of the Hypocrisy indoes anyone know of any documented proof that long hair causes migraine headaches?.
the reason i ask is because my 16 year old son has this head full of curls.
he also has what we believe to be bad migraines.
-

He told my wife that between our skull and our scalp we have nerves, and long hair traps heat and burns the nerves, thus causing the onset of a migraine.
I'm no doctor, but this sounds absurd to me. Rather than trying to disprove this wacky theory, I would instead ask him to PROVE it. Can he provide one shred of credible documentation to back this up? I seriously doubt it. Or you could run the "theory" by your son's doctor and ask him to share his professional opinion on the matter. Surely your wife would give more credence to an informed medical opinion than to some crackpot third-hand rumor.
Sorry to hear about your son's headaches. -

Would you wear a tracking device?
by sammielee24 inlike the one in this article?
from the washington post or times - it seems that some bright star is thinking that we should all be electronically monitored while flying.
good idea?

You will never overcome your Witness past...
by JimmyPage in... unless you read apostate views.. you may become inactive, like i did, and find a way to assimilate yourself into the normal world.. but you will always have at your core a view of the world that the witnesses gave you.
their basic teachings will still be your world view.. you will never realize you were indoctrinated by a cult.. for those poisoned by jehovah's witnesses there is only one antidote.. there is only one way to understand your life and progress from there.. the only true cure for jehovah's witnesses is apostasy..

I fully agree. In JW-land the term "apostasy" encompasses so very much, so I'm not sure that's the way I would have worded it exactly, but I think the idea behind what you're saying is dead on.
In dealing with my own JW, and his journey away from the WTS, it has become crystal clear to me that one can live under the illusion of wandering far and wide but still be strangling on a very tight leash. Over time I have become absolutely convinced that the only way to become truly free is to pull back the curtain, shine a bright light, and examine what's there, painful as it is. Until one actually SEES with his own eyes the little man behind the big curtain, and the mundane mechanics of the magical machines, the spell won't truly be broken.
Good post JimmyPage, thanks. -

They won't leave me alone!!!! What can I do?
by almostbitten ini'm new to this site.
i'm not a jw but have studied with them largely because i wanted to know for myself what jws believed and wanted to hear it from them, not from others (i.e.
catholics, baptists, methodists, etc.).
-
nameless_one
I guess I'm going to have to launch a full intellectual attack
No you don't. An intellectual discussion with JWs about doctrine will be one-sided and never-ending. You accepted a study, it didn't work for you, make that the end of the story. Just tell them I'M NOT INTERESTED, I DON'T BELIEVE THIS CRAP, PLEASE LEAVE ME ALONE, and then get on with your life.
They can't suck you further into this without your permission and participation. Just walk away. -

A witness dinner- Puts on Samuel Herds {Gov.body} talk I nearly choked!
by Witness 007 invisiting my mum she made me go to my first meeting in years.
a brother i studied with invites me to dinner....nice change i thought!
rumor has it that i have become in-active....true!

Thanks for posting that, lilyflor, though I feel like I need a shower after listening to it.
At around 3:45, the mocking, fake-weeping sounds he makes when gloating over the "horrors to come" -- this person is cruel and insane!
The entire talk is lunacy, horrible and crazy, but even worse is to think of crowds of glassy-eyed people smiling and nodding as they listen.
SICK SICK SICK -

"He explains how Armagedon is almost here...Babylon will soon fall...clergy in brokylin are being put in jail now...some have had there faces slashed...people breaking into convents and "robbing Nuns...RAPING NUNS" He used extra emphasis!???? He says imagine the great tribulation people will be "clubbing to death clergy and College Professors".....for not encouraging them to study with Witnesses...{Is this Brother on drugs!} Then out of no-where he slams the "new anionted" brothers who are the "biggest trouble makers in the congregations" Some are just newly baptized! He then goes on to say how happy brothers will be who "gave all their money to the Kingdom Hall instead of loosing it at Armagedon."
My God! This sounds crazy and surreal. I am not familiar with this talk. How did you keep your composure listening to this??
I'm sorry you had to waste an evening of your life in this way, UGH.
P.S. If this talk is here somewhere, can someone provide a link? I would be interested to hear/read it.
