  Ground Zero

  i recently traveled to new york city, but was not there to focus attention on the watchtower.

  rather, ground zero was on my agenda, and i was not disappointed, though i discovered a few surprises.

  i have been in the twin towers (wtc) several times, and have pictures of the view, including the watchtower buildings across the east river.

  I went to NYC right before I moved out west to Seattle.....everything felt the same (we usually took the train from Trenton, NJ to Penn Station) until the skyline of NYC was visible......just seemed very eerie to not see the twin towers. Ground Zero was a very sobering experience, but the sad part was that you could still see some vendors selling pieces of the rubble. Sick.

  Where are you going when you die?

  a questions that has been on my mind for 20+ years that i have been away.. and more recently - a friend of my sons was killed.

  he ask me "mom where are you going when you die?

  " i am worried because if you die, i don't know where you are going.

  i just thought i would warn you about something that paypal has been doing.

  they just did it to me a couple of months ago.

  or driver's license, and copies of some utility bills in my name.

  I use it all of the time to purchase items through ebay, I've never had a problem. I'm not sure if I'd use it to accept payments if I ever sell items though, I've heard horror stories. Plus you get slammed w/ not only your ebay fees, but Paypal charges fees too.

  I'm moving cross country, any tips?

  the trip begins in kansas and ends in florida.

  it's all going down in june.

  i'm really anxious and scared because i've never done anything like this before.

  We moved from Philadelphia to Seattle last year....my only tip is make sure your car is in tip top shape, make sure the timing belt has been changed if your car has over 60,000 miles....have fun, drink lots of coffee!

  ) and used this chance to preach her garbage to me....she knows very well how i feel about everything, but i decided to be civil towards her.

  she said how nice it was that inactive people were coming back to the meetings.

  My mom in Pennsylvania called to wish us a happy anniversary tonight (4 years!) and used this chance to preach her garbage to me....she knows very well how I feel about everything, but I decided to be civil towards her. She said how nice it was that inactive people were coming back to the meetings. When I replied that it was because they were scared of being destroyed by her loving god, she just shrugged it off. She wants to send me the new publication from last year as well as a recent watchtower....i told her not to bother, but she can do what she wants. She kept going on and on about how this war is "it" and how the United States has never done anything like this...blah blah blah. Bizarre statement of the phone conversation:

  "My friend and I were discussing how its too bad its now, because I really really wanted to see The Return of the King"!!!!!!!!

  Got my elders visit yesterday...

  i've been off-line for a bit, broken what-not in the computer,just got back on so i thought i'd tell you what happened yesterday.elder d rang to ask if 'we' could visit, ok says i, the other is the old ms who i studied with.

  meantime i'd got my file on un/wts ready(it's been ready for ages) and primed husband to witness the entertainment.this went on for about an hour and a half.i was utterly in control of myself and the entire interrogation(me of them).neither of them would look at any of my evidence of the wt's blasphemous hypocrisy, so i read it out to them,(you come to my house so i'm going to tell you this) they tried to wriggle their way out but i wanted them to admit their weakness.

  i really let them have it.they parried i thrusted.

  They don't really care, and won't acknowledge anything you say to them. They'll just think you are attacking the WTS, which is synonymous with attacking God (Jehovah) to them.

  remember when we were taught that the un was the "scarlet colored wild beast" and how she would turn on"false religion"?

  if this war goes successful (and it probably will.

  ) they say that the un will dissolve or never again be like it once was.

  I don't really see the UN going away, just possibly being an organization with much less power. Of course, if factions of Sadaams regime survive, doesn't this raise the possibility of civil war in Iraq in the future?
