god, who cares about the lady's opinions - her music for the last 4 albums has been on the cutting edge, and despite the silly rapping on 2 songs on her new one, its a fantastic album. If people are that influenced by a famous person (not a role model - we tag them that way) then they have problems. I suppose Marilyn Manson killed the kids at Columbine too, eh?

funny how ridiculous record reviews are. The new album is an obvious progression from her 2000 record MUSIC, has some similar sounds and overall is at least the equal if not better record. MUSIC got universal 5 star reviews when it came out and this one is getting slammed.

Music artists who have died, and those you missed the most.....
by ScoobySnax inok with the death of nina simone today at 70, i got to thinking about other great artists who have died.
many would say elvis, but he wouldn't feature if i had to pick just 3. mine would go something like this.
3. tammy wynette (stand by your man was a song that'll always remind me of my grandad who died 10 years ago, always makes me smile and remember him, and her collaboration with the klf circa 1992. justified and ancient.

I saw Arthur Lee and Love in Seattle last summer.....these kids in indie rock bands could learn a thing or two from the man. Really really funny guy. An audience member said:
"Hey Arthur, its great to have you back!!"
Arthur's reply:
"Its great to be back! Its great to be BLACK as a matter a fact!"
classic night, i'll never forget it. That first album is finally available, remastered on import for cheap $$!

John Lennon
Billy MacKenzie (lead singer of post punk punk Associates)
Musically dead, praying for a miracle:
Bob Dylan (with the exception of "things have changed")
The Cure (anything post 1992)
Morrissey (never made a bad album in my opinion, but has been label-less since 1997)

thats true, i doubt the watchtower will pay out anything. on the flipside, if this had happened at a catholic, lutheran, or any other church gathering, i doubt they would pay out. It was an unfortunate situation. I'm sure the people who were injured will be helped out by their respective congregations. I'm pretty much as anti JW as you can be without being a cult member (as I think alot of XJW's are) but come on. Some of these comments are ridiculous.
