a friend of mine (still an active jw) is quite sure that r.franz is back into wts.
from his point of view, an evidence is that he never published the 2nd part of isocf, even if it was announced in the first isocf.
i'm quite sure this is a nonsense , but you may help me with some information.

I had some email contact with him recently, (within the past 4 or 5 mos), no way is he back in.

at this stage of "coming out" of the "truth", would it faze you if you were disfellowshipped?
They have no control over my life, at this point. The answer would be no. Aside from perhaps loosing one good friend, (and yes, that would hurt), I would welcome officially being known as no longer a jw.

cmon.... you know who you are... i was once just like you!
let this thread be your coming out party - reveal yourselves already.
we are getting new posters on here every day and i am loving... jwd:"changing the world one post at a time"
Nobody is going to bite your head off and if somone does disagree with you (and there always is one) they are very polite about it here. I would be totally shocked if I ever posted a thread and everyone agreed with me. That's when it would get very boring.
That's the beautiful thing with being out of the Borg, isn't it? We are actually ALLOWED to disagree, and it actually makes life INTERESTING...
Happy Friday!

a thread on the last page made me remember something from my early childhood.
remember congregation picnics and other outings?
i remember when i was little, probably only 4 - 5 years old; there was a huge congregation picnic at a park with food, games, etc.
No "congregation" picnics any more. It seemed like the congregation elders were sponsoring them and the did not want to be held responsible for any "judicial" incidents or injuries. An individual had to sponsor it. Some congregations said that only one or book study groups could get together.
I remember when they changed this, Blondie. For a while they still announced them at the TMS anyway, they just called it the "Friends of Brother and Sister so and so" picnic. Sounds really stupid to me now.

In this order:
1. Teaching that only JWs have "The Truth".
2. Disfellowshipping, (and all JC bullshit).
3. Blood.

i am curious, what amount people on this board from their experiences of being a baptised & active jw and their subsequent exit from the jw org (for whatever reason or reasons) are now either agnostic, atheist or do some actually still believe in god?.
your honest answers please.. lfcv.
Atheist - as in the actual definition of the word, not what most people think it means. A - theist as oppossed to theist. In other words, opposite of theist. I don't have a belief in a specific god, therefore I am an atheist by definition. That does not mean I don't believe that a god can exist.
What LDB said. (In spite of Mr. Dawkins).
btw: I do like Dawkins work.

i used to be here a real lot.
now i make about 15 posts , if that,.
per day and read a few other threads that interest me.
It really depends largely on my work schedule. If I'm working from the home office, or in the airport, (like I am now), It is quite easy to post several times a day. There are other weeks, where I'm working out of town at a customer site, and the chances are few and far between.

hi guys.
i haven't posted here in a year or so, perhaps more.
i'm not sure what i want to say, and i'm not sure that i want to put it down, since the more info you give here, the easier it is to be spotted.
However, I've found that it will tend to swing back the other way again and center a bit more in a balanced center.
What Daystar said. But PATIENCE is important here.

i was just reading the convention thread..the wbt$ tells jehovah`s witness`s which hotels they can and cannot stay in..i`ve been out a long time,so this is news to me..wbt$ continues to expand thier control over jehovah`s witness`s..jehovah`s witness`s continue to give up more and more of thier personal freedom to a publishing company.this has continued for as long as i can remember..make no mistake, wbt$ will come up with many more rules for jehovah`s witness`s to follow...what new moronic rules do you see the wbt$ imposeing on jehovah`s witness`s?...outlaw
I'm surprised they don't come up with recommended restaurant lists too.
Just don't forget to wear your lapel card when eating at the restaurant. Did anyone actually DO this???
