  No. I have learned some time ago that people only accept reality when/if they are ready to.
  

  For those that are in the process of waking up however, and seek help in doing so, I am more than willing to provide some insight and assistance in general. It is a unique opportunity to assist one in exiting a cult, so I consider it a matter of paying it forward, having successfully done so myself.
  

  I have only seen the JWs in my development maybe two times in the almost seven years we have been in our house. I politely tell them I am not interested. I don't discuss my JW past with them.

  i wanted to stay off the radar but since i'm getting dis-fellowshipped anyways and have no plans to come back what the hell.

  been 22 years in the truth........... ahhhh i hate to use that expression...... bad habit but you know what i mean.

  Gotta admit I love the avatar, maybe the best one on JWD! However, for your own good, please put down the cigarettes. Way too addictive, and really will seriously shorten what is already a short life. It took me five years to quit once I started with an occasional "social" smoke. No such thing, really.
  

  Nothing wrong with a little weed or any of the other stuff, however! Enjoy. Life is short.

  A little aside. I worked for a telecommunications software company based out of Temecula for 10 years. Beautiful city and underrated wine country. I did try once to go to your congregation when I was there on a trip. When I called the KH to inquire of meeting times, I got some arrogant prick elder that went from love bombing me, (because he thought I was some off the street "interested" person), to a condescending ass once he found out I was there on business. I never bothered to go, (then or anytime thereafter).

  The comment at the end from Devine is nauseating. I used to work right next door to the Heights. Many of these buildings were near empty for years, (I have not worked there in 4 years). WTS waited precisely for the right moment to get top dollar.

  My cat died suddenly!

  i did not realize that they were symptoms that something was wrong with my cat -but i did notice that my cat was breathing a little differently for a period of about a few days.

  i also noticed prior and after to that, that on occasion, my cat would cry at the litter box, but that was a very seldom event.. anyway, about a week ago i noticed the symptom that my very loved cat was breathing heavy.

  so i called a taxi and i was going to rush him to emergency room for cats.

  Assemblies - Before and After Waking Up

  happy friday to all!.

  i haven't been to a meeting for maybe 10 years.

  i only know what's happening nowadays from the experiences i read here or the internet in general.. anyway, on to the topic: i started attending meetings at the age of 7. as a kid, the only thing i looked forward to at the assemblies (circuit/district) was walking around veteran's stadium (philadelphia district convention) during intermission, hanging with friends, looking at girls (as i got a little older) and trying to have enough tickets to get pizza!.

  The Vet...Nice try getting me to go there, when I moved to the area in 1998. My ex-wife came back one Friday afternoon, (I was out of town on business and returned Friday evening), with the worst sunburn I had ever seen, and I said NO WAY are we going there tomorrow...
  

  The previous 5 years, (1993-1997), I lived in Northern NJ, and attended Nassau Colosseum in Uniondale, NY, (a nice, air conditioned indoor facility for those that are not familiar with the area), after attending Yankee Stadium/Giants Stadium since the late '70s-1992. NO chance of going to any outdoor facility, let alone that heat stroke fest in Philly...we went back to Uniondale from that point onward.

  I never went to any assembly or meeting after waking up to TTATT. I would have needed to be seriously medicated...
