120September KM - 70 alterations in Revelation Climax Book
by dozy ini can't find a thread on this subject yet - if there is one , please delete this one.. the september kingdom ministry has a 4 page insert detailing the 70 alterations in the revelation climax book which is due to be studied at the book study shortly.
i'll provide scans if anyone is interested.. i will leave it up to more experienced analysts to examine the reasons for specific changes , but just a few brief observations for now:.
p32 box - "they were completely exonerated" changed to "charges against them were dropped" - interesting change of terminology for the 1918 watchtower eight.

No Resurrection For Disfellowshipped?
by ThomasCovenant insorry if this has been covered already.. 1) what is the written policy about disfellowshipped ones having a resurrection?.
2) what if the disfellowshipped one is d'd for apostasy?.
reason i ask is an ex elder who was disfellowshipped for apostasy is very ill and may very likely die soon.

Fair minded person with a fair point of view

i just had some comments i'd like to make.. i think the reason why i'm inactive now is because i've come to a point in my life where i feel obligated to admit that i just don't know.
at one time i was as fiery and zealous of a witness as anyone could be but i had this nagging feeling that i really didn't know what i was talking about when i was witnessing to people.

Are you not happy you can express your viewpoint here? I agree with you on everything you said, 100%.
Now try to express that to your best friend in the KH, go talk to an elder or a pioneer and tell them what your views are and then come back and let us know what how they feel about you and how you will treated from then on.

5 year rule will always apply since the CO is the one sending the paper work in and he is the one that gets is butt burned if he messes up..

Special Event Assembly?

yesterday, i get a letter in the mail, looks like a business letter/ i open it up and its an invitation from the jw to attend a "special event" at their upcoming assembly here in rochester.
sounds like they are having an event for non-members now.

If anyone ever shows up, they usually make a big deal by announcing it trying to prove that their work is not in vain.

I was forced to buy a new cell phone
by JH inyesterday, i was mowing the lawn, and i had my cell phone on me.
it was in it's case and hooked on to me.. for some reason, it fell to the ground, and i was mowing the lawn walking backwards, and all of a sudden....i heard this loud noise under the lawnmower as if it was chewing something very hard.
so, i backed up the lawnmower another foot or so to see what was under the lawnmower.
