Do you still pass in front of your kingdom hall?
by JH insince the last few days, i pass right in front, and i noticed the vines growing on the side of the kingdom hall.
now, the whole side wall is completely covered with vines.. looking at the vines, it reminded me of a face with a goatee or a beard.
so, if they can have vines on their building, a brother should be allowed to have a goatee....

I moved far away from my "home" KH, but every once in a while, I drive by a KH. The kingdom hall in Roseburg was at the top of a hill, and I remember they did a remodel on it a few years back to remove the windows. I never really thought about the "no window" thing, but now that I think about it, it's really freakin creepy.

What's Your Favorite Brand of Beer?
by tfsm ini know this is slightly off-topic but i find alot of the discussion here somewhat depressing and most of it is far too cerebral for me.
i (obviously) live in america and i'm a big fan of beer.
light, dark, lager, ale, whatever.

Does it say something that so many of us have so much BEER advice to give? And under-believer, GIRL here and I don't DO Zima ;)
I like Fat Tire and my hubby likes his Guinness and Mactarnahan's Black Watch Cream Porter.

I'm new here
by Keeli inthis seemed like a likely place to introduce myself.
i live in oregon and was disfellowshipped a couple of years ago.
i never went back to meetings and i don't intend to go back.
-
QueenBee
Welcome Keeli! Nice to see another Oregonian on the boards. This is really a great place to come and vent or get sympathy (maybe on a day when you need a "poor baby" or two) or have obscure jw questions answered. But be careful, you may find yourself spending WAY too much time here ;).
Btw--how long were you in for? I was in from birth to age 23
Peace,

Do You REALLY Believe That A Pedophile Issue Will Bring Down The Watchtower
by minimus ini see the excitement and thrill when a jw gets nailed for pedophilia.
i'm happy when any of these creeps get caught.
but i just don't think that this is what will bring down the organization.

How did you feel the first few meetings you missed?
by Mysterious infor those of you that regularly went and never stayed home sick, etc.
how did it feel when you first started staying home from meetings?
was it weird watching shows on tv you always missed, or not having to worry about rushing dinner to make it on time.

I felt guilty at first, but then I realized how much more TIME I had and how much relaxed I was on the way home from work, knowing that I didn't have to hurry and change to get ready for meeting.
LOL at Blondie for knowing tonight is not a meeting night. :)
