  she wore her new cross that i bot her for her 50th birthday to work.

  an elder that works there [whom she rarely sees] saw her and eyed the jewelry.

  we'll see how it goes - but she is expecting an invite to 'meet with the elders' now.

  there was a recent thread on spelling, sentence structure, etc., that was legitimate, but probably made other's feel stupid.. my question is, what is your personal pet peeve?.

  i've got a problem with poor construction inside my home...i hate the trim work, some cut too short so it looks like mouse holes over the floor.

  i had my kitchen redone and the layout was so unusual that i can't open a fridge door unless i pull it forward or push it back to open a drawer.

  Ignorant drivers. I live in an area of the world where people that think they have money think they can drive anywhere, anyhow, and anyway they like. They pass on curves, into oncomong traffic, double and triple pass, speed through school zones...you get the picture.

  Well, those uncaring, insensitive, ignorant ass-holes are my pet pieve.

  No. I used to use the terms shortly after my liberation from the wt, but now I actually have trouble using those "catch words" in everyday conversations.

  Should I tell him how I feel or let it go?

  brief history: my mom shuns me, my step dad is not a jw but thinks pretty much like one and called me apostate when i tried to tell him some things.

  my step dad and i have never been close, he was verbally abusive to me growing up.. well, last week he and my mom fly up my ex- and his wife with my daughter (all jw's) to go boating with them and my sisters kids.

  i am glad my daughter got to see her cousins....but, i am sure if they talked about me at all it was not positive talk.

  I feel for you. I can't really give you any advice, as I have been living for more than 25 years with a similar problem. You see, once my ex and I were divorced, she dub, me not, my parents, both hard-core dubs, moved my ex in with them, and took to calling her their "daughter". That started in 1981...she still lives there today.

  Hang in there. The only way I can get through life..is to ignore the lot of them.

  If his badge number is on the ticket, (it must be to validate the ticket) call the nearest OPP detachment, (probably Downsview) and report the incident to the duty officer. If the duty officer isn't helpfull, go to court on the scheduled date, and explain in clear detail what transpired, including the fact that the officer waited for what seemed to be an unreasonably long time on the shoulder, before proceeding. In both cases, give FACT, and not opinion.
