  i look back on the 1970s with a sense of loss and nostalgia.

  i was a young man, just married, and so much in love with my beautiful wife.

  i had just started my engineering career, and was debt free.

  Hello Amazing. You and I are about the same age and I have two grown children still in the org. Maybe I did too good of a job teaching them what I thought was the truth at the time. Sometimes I try to gently reason with them on why this religion is a fraud, and they just shut down mentally. So then I have to retreat and let them think that I am a spiritual flake, even though I have forgotten more about this org. and its teachings than they will ever know! I would be intensely interested in how you successfully got your children out.Thanks, and brotherly love, Dino

  My stepfather died tonight

  i have just finished making phone calls informing the family of the death of my stepfather.

  i was an adult when he married my mother, but i loved him very much.

  he was a wonderful man.. although he was a faithful jw, for his entire life (he was born to it) he was a really good man, and a true christian, i believe.

  One sister raised her hand during a WT study, and commented on the public talk just given previously on Simon Peter. She commenced to tell how she felt that sometimes she had a little peter in her, in fact, we ALL have a little peter in us from time to time!!! Her poor husband almost died of embarrassment. Another instance; this may be an urban legend, was this young fellow during his bible reading said,"And they pinched their tits in canaan" instead of "they pitched their tents in canaan". Dino

  Thank you, Bill Harv. You have accomplished so much in such a short period of time. Thank you for your bulldog tenacity, we all know it wasnt easy. They will not show it now, but their facade is really starting to crumble. It would take strong leadership to guide them out of this morass, but they are adrift at this time. We realize that your real work is ahead of you but we are behind you in spirit and monetarily. Please give our thanks to all your wonderful assistants as well. Dino
