Hows this?
SOME THINGS TO THINK ABOUT:
- What is wrong with getting an education?
- Is an education a bad thing? Why?
- Why are you not supposed to think for yourself, or ask “hard” questions?
- Have you heard of the book 1984? You may be living in an “Orwellian World.”
- Does the society fear the Internet because the real “truth” can be found there?
- If smoking is bad because you are “defiling” your body – what about obesity?
- Did you know that the “society” now says “blood fractions” are a conscious matter?
- How many needlessly died before this “new light” came to be?
- How many families and lives have the Witnesses ruined?
- Why so many rules, and the need to spy on your friends?
- How old is the “generation” of 1914 getting? (Are any really still alive?)
- Remember 1975, and all the other years the GB put forth as “the end?”
- Is the governing body inspired this year? One year they are, the next their not…
- Are you serving God or an organization run by man?
- Do some research on the NWT; see how the real meaning was changed on certain things.
- What if it’s NOT the “truth?”
- If it’s not the truth, are you wasting your life?
I was a loyal witness for more than 47 years before I came to realize they did not have “the truth.” I hope it does not take you that long. Mine was a wasted life. And a wasted life is a terrible thing.

"An armed society is a polite society. Manners are good when one may have to back up his acts with his life." - Robert A. Heinlein
"I am free, no matter what rules surround me. If I find them tolerable, I tolerate them; if I find them too obnoxious, I break them. I am free because I know that I alone am morally responsible for everything I do." - Robert A. Heinlein
“At least once every human should have to run for his life, to teach him that milk does not come from supermarkets, that safety does not come from policemen, that "news" is not something that happens to other people.” - Robert A. Heinlein
"I never learned from a man who agreed with me." - Robert A. Heinlein ....Many incuding myself could learn from this one.
"When any government, or any church for that matter, undertakes to say to its subjects, This you may not read, this you must not see, this you are forbidden to know, the end result is tyranny and oppression no matter how holy the motives." Robert A. Heinlein
"You can have peace. Or you can have freedom. Don't ever count on having both at once." Robert A. Heinlein"There are no dangerous weapons; there are only dangerous men." Starship Troopers
"Violence, naked force, has settled more issues in history than has any other factor, and the contrary opinion is wishful thinking at its worst." Starship Troopers"Sin lies only in hurting others unnecessarily. All other "sins" are invented nonsense." Time Enough For Love
"For the first time in my life, I was reading things, which had not been approved by the Prophet's censors, and the impact on my mind was devastating. Sometimes I would glance over my shoulder to see who was watching me, frightened in spite of myself. I began to sense faintly that secrecy is the keystone of all tyranny. Not force, but secrecy...censorship. When any government, or any church for that matter, undertakes to say to it's subjects, This you may not read, this you must not see, this you are forbidden to know, the end result is tyranny and oppression, no matter how holy the motives. Mighty little force is needed to control a man whose mind has been hoodwinked; contrariwise, no amount of force can control a free man, a man whose mind is free. No, not the rack, not fission bombs, not anything---you can't conquer a free man; the most you can do is kill him." --- Robert A. Heinlein Revolt In 2100

I would post on this thread. But it seems my views on freedom, and firearms seem to upset too many people. After all, I would not want to give any anti freedom loving person a heart attack. And this comment is NOT directed at anyone to the north, or across the pond. This is directed at the typical American liberal who knows everything, and being a liberal (yeah right) has no room in his heart for anyone that does not agree with his socialist big government views.
It would seem that I cannot open my mouth, without being attacked. I have not tried to convert anyone to my views, I have only tried to defend my point of view once challenged. It would seem that many have serious problems with those who love history, freedom and firearms. Maybe it is because deep down in their hearts they know that they are not capable of taking care of themselves should the worst come. And I really can't blame them. After all, many due to their upbringing and background would just naturally hold these views. Add to this being involved with the JW's and what should I expect? I would say that the percentage of those that hate guns, and have no or little problem with heavy regulation, is a lot higher here than most other places.
And it would seem, I do not belong here.

Your auto registration fees are what pays for the state highway system. Which costs a lot of money to build and maintain so you can drive your Chevy Tahoe anywhere you want.
I understand this to a certain degree. But could you please explain to me why it cost 30 bucks to register my auto back east, and 300 bucks out here? Roads paved with gold maybe?
Because there are more people living in California than any other state.
Non sequitur. I have already pointed out the flaw in the above anyway.
and California is the best god damned state in the union
Oh my God. Well, I guess some people just put freedom higher on the list than some.I lived in Florida, and what you call "free" to me is shit
First off, do you eat out of the same mouth you talk out of? And secondly, you have made your views very clear. You have made it clear that you are a typical hate spewing liberal, who loves big government, and has no tollerance for those that don't share his views. I on the other hand highly value the freedoms this country was built on. "Forget you my friend."
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animating contest of freedom...crouch down and lick the hands, which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen!" Samuel Adams
Now, feel free to spout some more hate filled profanity.

California does have a lot of restrictive laws, but seeing as how it is the most populous State in the Union, I can see why.
Why?
Why should California be any different than any other state? Why should I have to pay ten times more in auto registration fees? Why should I have to (or at least supposed to) register my guns? Why should a whole lot of the stuff that I own that was legal in another state, be illegal here? - including some kids TOYS! This is a HEAVILY regulated state. I guess there are those that either like this, or just don't know any better.
And there are other states that have population centers just as dense as can be found in KA. Take Miami for instance. And Florida is one of the few "free" states left.
And the only reason you "can see why" is that you were probably born and brainwashed here.
The lesser populous states have the least regulations and taxes because there are less people placing a burden on the common goods of infrastructure.
Isn't that a way of saying that Kalifonia has more people on welfare than most? Yup, why work when you can get free money from the government.
