My letter to the "Glorious Ones."...
by Justice-One ini thought you guys might get a hoot out of this letter that i just mailed..... dear elders (or should i call you glorious ones?).
you can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can never fool all the people all the time.
and you certainly do not have me fooled anymore.

I'll move this idea to its own thread if this one dies out.
I was just thinking. Even if they get wise to this...they will never be sure which letters are on the up and up, and which ones are not. It will STILL drive them nuts!
Dang, I now have a new hobby.

Hey, get a couple dozen of us working on this, and we could create a genuine movement! Shades of Alice's Restaurant Massacree!
Roger that! I agree completely, and I have already started to get the addresses of former congregations I have went to. Next time it they go priority mail thru a remailing service. That way the return address can drive them nuts as it leads to a dead end!

If the "Kool-Aid" came out...
by Justice-One ini was wondering the other day how many would drink if the kool-aid came out at a future meeting?
you know, they made an announcement that the faithfull and discreet slave had been told that we should all kill ourselves because jehovah did not see the need for us to endure through armageden.
i wonder....30 percent?

Told from the perspective of several people -- a 3rd generation pioneer, a bible study, an "unbelieving mate", a governing body member, maybe a CO. And a lawyer. And a cop. And a reporter. Maybe sneak a murder or two in.
Oh wow. Just think, they would have to change the names to protect the guilty. Maybe they tittle the book Yahovah's Blistnesses, and Jonestown...why didn't we see it coming?

Have you ever had an encounter with a UFO?
by free2beme inwhen i was about 16 years old, a group of us friends would go hiking a lot on the weekend.
we would rough it to some degree, just a sleeping back and sleeping under the stars.
one night, while hiking into a lake in northern california, we all were sleeping in a clearing just out of legal distance from a small mountain lake we liked to fish in.

Here is my take on this. For one, if WE are the only life in the universe, it is a terrible waste of space. So I tend to believe that there IS life out there, and reason would tend to make me believe that it is probably far in advance of ours. So they might be visiting. But since I'm a believer in "Occam's Razor," I think something else might be going on.
I went to an air show at McDill AFB once. They had a fly-by done by the B2 "flying wing" bomber. I tell you what...this thing when it is coming right at you, looks EXACTLY like your average saucer type UFO. I have photos that make it look like something from outerspace. Also, when it is coming straight at you, (because of the size of the thing,) it looked like it was just hanging in the air for awhile.
Now, how long did the government have this aircraft before it made it public knowledge? How many secret flights did it make, where people saw it, and (like my Dad) thought they saw a UFO?
And this is just one example. Who knows what kind of "Buck Rogers" stuff our governments have.

I think the effect would be enhanced if you mention names or recent events in the congregation,
I agree, thats why I thru in that comment about one of the last Sunday talks, and the ' 75 comment. And if I could have remember any of the "gas pumpers names," I would have used them.

I see you've been playing COD2 too, huh?
Nope, sorry to say I don't know what it is...though I might have to look into it, as it sounds interesting. Actually I pulled those to quotes out of my "quote file" on evil.

Please, for your sake make sure your not traceable from lurkers.
I have changed quite a bit over the last few years. I have a background in security, and I know the less said the better. And the nail that sticks up gets hammered down. That being said, I have tried to not make any glarring connections to my true self on this board, or in that letter. But the very fact that I have made hundreds of posts here, tells me that if anyone REALLY wanted to, they could probaby piece it together. The bottom line is that since I really don't give a flying fornication anymore whether they catch me or not, my "OpSec" has gotten rather slack. Besides it will be oh so much fun to see them try when all they get from me is "I didn't do it, nobody seen me do it, you can't prove a thing."

I think it's really sad that some people equate not agreeing with the WT to not having any class or dignity. It gives those of us who just want to slip away quietly and mind our own business a bad name.
First off, I don't think dropping the F Bomb makes me not have any class or dignity. It is true the the Society tried to take my dignity, but I held on to it. And as for the second part of the above quote....
"The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing." - Albert Einstein
"All that is necessary for evil to succeed is that good men do nothing." - Edmund Burke
