  i thought you guys might get a hoot out of this letter that i just mailed..... dear elders (or should i call you glorious ones?).

  you can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can never fool all the people all the time.

  and you certainly do not have me fooled anymore.

  Dear Elders (Or should I call you “Glorious Ones”?)

  You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can never fool all the people all the time. – And you certainly do not have ME fooled anymore. You will never know who I am. But I am at every meeting. (I even make sure to answer from time to time!) I have no desire to be cut off from all my friends and family (even if they are cultists.) And making my feelings known in public would have that effect. So I have to be content with living my double life. But I just wanted you “Glorious Ones” to know my true feelings. All is not well in your compound. Oh, I mean flock.

  I can’t tell you how much fun it has been to watch as your organization implodes under the weight of its false teachings, doctrine, and prophecies. (Not to mention the lack of love shown.) It must be very disheartening for you cult leaders to see the growth in the U.S. approaching ZERO. The negative numbers are not far away. But I’m sure Bethel is not above doctoring the books, so we will probably never see them.

  I can still hear the words of the brother from the stage at a District Convention back in the early 1970’s…”Just remember brothers; stay alive ‘till 75.” But hey, as the brother told us from the platform just a few weeks ago, “the Society has never made a prediction about when the end would come.” What a bald faced lie.

  So “brothers” I would like to close with this. – You are being laughed at more and more these days. And a LOT of it is coming from within your “loyal” ranks. Oh, and one more thing. F#%k you.

  Geez. Sometimes I just crack myself up! BTW, that stamp was the BEST 39 cents I EVER spent!

  of course, as it's the murdering, war-crime-committing, un-mandate-ignoring, nuclear-non-proliferation-flouting israeli friends of america, they probably won't see it as an issue at all.. funny that ... they were dead keen on going to war over just the hint of this very thing but probably won't even condemn it.. it's about time that sanctions were imposed on israel.

  wouldn't it be nice if we lived in a world were religion/cults did not get in the way of family relations?

  i have now gotten the "cold shoulder" for almost two weeks from my wife of almost 28 years.

  i'm sure it has something to do with finally telling her the elders can kiss my ass, and that i don't want to be there when the kool-aid comes out.

  there's been speculation about how the society could make wt cd's with "site monitoring" software on them, how about internet service provided by the society?

  this way you'd feel like you have the freedom to surf the net but all the "bad" stuff would be blocked out.

  they'd have total control over what the surfer sees.

  Anyone Here Do Any Stock Market Investing?

  this is my hobbie, i look for undervalued companies to buy and wait for wall street to recognize it's true value (anyone heard of warren buffett?

  Be real careful. It has been my experience that if I get the urge to invest in the market, I just take the money into the bathroom and flush it. - then I go to a bar, pick a fight with a big guy and get the crap beat out of me. It's faster than investing in the market, and the results are pretty much the same...less the brokerage fee.

  BTW, I still have fond memories of losing almost 3 grand in less than 30 minutes in futures trading.

  I guess I was never meant to piss in the tall grass with the big dogs.

  Hang in there bro.

  Thanks for all the kind words. The above really brought something home to me - you know at the Hall it is "brother" this, and "sister" that. But the fact of the matter is I NEVER felt like any of these people were my true brothers. The love just was NOT there. Now that I have expanded my horizons, I have made TRUE friends. And one of them after many years has come to be the brother that I never had (in the flesh, or at the Hall....I trust him behind me with a rifle, and that says a LOT in my book. ) And I might add the other friends that I have in the "world" are far better than any I ever had in Da Troof. They are real people and real friends. Not the shadows of such you find at the Hall.

  So, you hang in there too bro. It is good to have people you can talk to, isn't it?

  She isn't supposed to do that-according to her religion and the Bible. Remind her of her obligations to you as a wife. She may not respect YOU, but she has no scriptural reason to give you the cold shoulder. An unbelieving spouse is not to be divorced, but she is to relate to you as she did before-though w/o discussing spiritual things.

  Yup.....and communism looks good on paper. It has always been this way with her. Even when I was "luke warm" and just beginning serious fade mode, she would always say "I don't want you to go to the meetings for me, I want you to do it for Jehovah." Then she would procede to be pissy for days. BTW, did anyone ever hear the talk at the Circuit Assembly where the CO said...."brothers, your wives will LOVE YOU MORE if you study with them," over and over? That one led to a big tear with the wife, as she interpreted it to mean, you can give the cold shoulder to get what you want. That talk is what pushed me into full fade mode.
