I can actually see your point, however i didnt take the text out of context, resting on the latter two verses
13Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
Reading extra literature you know to be incorrect from Gods standpoint, is worthless and wearisome.
If a person stands as a Christian he should need only one book, for how can we point to the Jw's saying they must always use extra literature weh nin truth we do the same .Where would many peoples Faith stand without the books provided by their religion ??
If more than the bible was needed God would have provided it
Respectfully

A most notable bible verse
by Ade inecc 12:12 "and further, from these, my son, be warned; the making of many books hath no end, and much study is a weariness of the flesh.
in this verse there is a fluent sweetness to the eyes of the ones seeking gods love and a sharp bite to those who lose love and become a mere student of words offering up argumentations of men from their doctrines.
it has exceptional applicability in numerous situations, possibly even to people who keep trying to offer you extra biblical literature.

About early christianity: Good link!
by Hellrider ini found a good text online, about early christianity: .
http://www.muslimhope.com/bibleanswers/earlychurch.htm.
...the text has nothing to do with islam at all, but it is published on a web-page that tries to reach out to moslems...(never mind that, it`s not important).

Butters,
You wrote "Look, it doesn' t matter what people believe. IT's what the bible says. The bible plainly says that God is never tempted ever! Jesus is. The bible says that God never dies ever! If God died on the cross, the whole universe would collapse and existence end. God didn't die! Jesus died, and Jesus is Yoseph and Mary's son. He was fully human and not God. There is only one God, and that is the Father. (1 Cor 8:4,6)... Leolaia, Helenistic Judaism is wrong too! I don't care for any religions."
However two days ago you were promoting messianic judaism. ??? apparently though you dont care for Religion

Would You/Do You Remain As A JW "Technically"???
by minimus intechnically, since i am not df'd or dissasociated, i am considered by witnesses as an inactive jw.
i do not actively look to get df'd as i have family that are witnesses.
if i were ever df'd, then i'd deal.

Marijuana & Schizophrenia
by ICBehindtheCurtain inhi guys, i was researching this because of something that's going on with a family member, and i found it quite interesting since some other family members who we have tried counseling on the use of this substance told us that marijuana is not addictive, that it's an innocent plant and is not harmful yadayadayada, yeah right!
i intend to go over this with our kids and make sure they understand the documented dangers of this very popular drug.
i just wanted to share it with you all.

HI,
I seriously abused cannabis for awhile, after the high and when i came of i suffered immense panic attacks and anxiety . I ended up on prozac for a long time, previous to this i hadnt had any mental problems whatsoever.I belive it is definately addictive and alters the mind permanently. My Brother in law who has smoked it for years tried to go cold turkey and nearly ended up at the local mental institution.

Paul Did Not Write Hebrews
by Butters infor those of us who still read the bible, and believe it, it should be noted that paul did not write hebrews.
there is a clear statement in the bible that proves this rather easily.... hebrews 2:3 how shall we escape, if we neglect so great a salvation?
which having at the first been spoken through the lord, was confirmed unto us by them that heard;.

Butters,
"I would not trust the Church fathers. That's one point. Trust the Torah. They don't. Love Yahweh's Sabbaths. They don't. Trust the good health habits of the food laws like Paul does. They don't. Eat clean fish, not swine. The bible teaches us proper meals. Trinity and other falsehoods, virgin birth, mary worship all that pagan stuff. Bad. Good Jewish roots. Truth."
Some would say your good Jewish roots are the cause of most problems, so we should think carefully as to imposing our views in this way upon others my friend. Can there be found absolute evidence of what you say?? it is doubtful. You are emitting a negativity towards all others beliefs besides yours - please show us where the Torah / bible / paul implies this to be the correct mannerism of a christian or whatever they consider theirselves to be in the light of Our God. isnt Love supposed to be our greatest attribute as those who follow in Gods footsteps.

by Butters ini want to get a solid opinion on this chapter from everyone.

Hi Butters,
I would like your answer on this please
"Sorry... You are wrong on this Leolaia. Too much pagan Greek Church stuff and Ex-Watchtower stuff lingering around I think. Try Messianic Judaism out for a change. The real Messiah by the way is Yoseph's son. Not a spirit baby according to some pagan neo-platonism. Isaiah 7:14 doesn't belong in Matthew. The real true Hebrew Matthew doesn't have that verse. Isaiah 7:14 is fulfilled in Isaiah 8:3 anyway.... A sign to Ahaz makes no sense 400+ years before the Messiah is born... It's biblical ballyhoo."
so are you saying to read the NT or not ?? or is it all biblical ballyhoo ?? if so why do you keep quoting Paul ??
This is a serious question and im not meaning to insult you.I just dont quite understand your viewpoint.
i would be happy to read an explanation from your point of view though.
