i would like to know if it just requires an elder to send in something to update your records.
i have been very stressed out lately....thinking about my 8 year old shunning me just about kills me.
i da'd myself quite a while ago (7yrs) and i wish i could have somehow faded.
I was dfed in 98 for "fornication". Since then I have gotten married and my mother was trying to get me reinstated. I should say that even though I was d'fed in 98 I randomly attended meetings throughout the last 8 years to basically keep my mother happy. My mother told the elders that I was married and they insisted upon meeting with me. They asked what my intentions were at the meetings and I said (as I was instructed by people on this board) that I wanted to have a relationship with Jehovah again. They then asked if there was anything else in my life that would keep me from becoming a jdub againa and i said no. They then said that they would expect a letter from me soon.
I have not written the letter yet because I am somewhat nervous about being reinstated. Mainly I don't want them interfering with my life. i just figured I'd let you know that it might not be as complicated as going to meetings for 6 months. Good luck.
what's your favourite board game?
i'm asking because i want to go out tomorrow and buy a new one.
my kids have re-discovered that they can be a lot more fun than ps2 games and of course it's something we can all play together on a more sociable level.
My wife and I love to play Othello (sometimes called turncoat).
Growing up my favorite board game was definetely Risk. It can take hours to play though.
We also like Taboo, or Balderdash when we have friends over. They're very social games and I agree with you that they are more fun than video games even though I love video games.
this was inspired by another thread, where freetosee told of a young witness baptised at the tender age of 9, and disfellowshipped at age 12!!!
the mind goes wild at what a 12-year-old should ever be disfellowshipped for.
how would a kid be so unrepentant they would deserve losing their family and friends?
I myself was baptized at 15 and D'fed at 17. (I just couldn't hold out any longer). My father who is an "unbeliever" talked with the elders dealing with my case at the time about how my baptism shouldn't count because I was a minor but they wouldn't hear of it. I totally got baptized to fit in with all of the other people around me who were pressuring me. After that my father made a rule that my brothers and sisters weren't allowed to get baptized. My sister didn't get baptized until 20 and my brother is a minor apostate so it kind of worked.
so who do you think will win the ws?.
jourles, of the rabid cardinal nation since '85 class.

Welcome Amanda,
Everyone one of us wishes that everyone we know would just google Jehovahs Witnesses and see all the facts out there about the religion. Unfortunately, that is one thing that those involved with the religion are not able to do. Spread your feelings all you like here.
dear everyone,.
there was a very interesting item on this morning's bbc breakfast news programme - to do with blood transfusions for dogs.
a new website has been set up, along with an appeal to owners to type and register their pets as potential donors, should the need arise.
I am so blown away by this. I can't even believe how crazy this is. Thank you for sharing this, it just shows how whacked out the reasoning is. What would be the difference if your cat killed a mouse and ate it?? This is mind blowing.
my wife and i got a puggle puppy a few months ago.
they are the cutest dogs.
i was just wondering if anyone else here has one?
He was so hard to housebreak, high energy, very loving, loved kids, but barked and barked and could not be broken from eating his poop.
Sorry to hear about that. I'm glad he's happy. We have another dog who is 5 yrs old. and a big yard with an electric fence so he is able to get alot of his energy out. Did you cage train him? Just wondering because I think that has made him learn to go outside so consistently although he still has an occasional accident (once a week) when he plays alot inside. Here is a pic of our two dogs Braxton(Puggle) and Sequoia(Boxer/Rhodesian Ridgeback).

Is a puggle a new breed, or a cross between a pug and a poodle? Either way, he's beyond cute.
First off Thank you.. A puggle is a cross between a pug and beagle. Thats what gives em the floppy ears.
