What did the Watchtower do for you as far as education goes?

1)Those who seldom reason at all, but think and act as those around them do; parents, neighbors, the clergy, or anyone else they admire and respect. Such people want to avoid the difficulty that accompanies thinking for themselves.
2)Those who are determined to let passion rather than reason govern their lives. Those people are influenced only by reasoning that supports their prejudices.
3)Those who sincerely follow reason, but lack sound, overall good sense, and so do not look at all sides of an issue. They tend to talk with one type of person, read one type of book, and so are exposed to only one viewpoint.
It would seem that the WTS keeps their R&F in all three of these areas. Head down, back in line, no questions and no talking.

Well, it looks like I have a kink to work out in area #2.

I figured it would be Tucker Carlson and partner. He was last nights worse IMHO.

Poor guy. He got humiliated by Jon Stewart, lost the bow tie, and now he's on a lame reality show.

What movie disappointed you the most, what one impressed you the most?

there have been occasion in my life, that movies have come out that i looked so forward to seeing.

then i see them, and i am so disappointed in the finish product.

then there are movies i go to see thinking, why am i wasting my time with this junk, and then i end up finding this movie to be something enjoyable and in some cases fantastic.

X-Men 3. I was totally hyped for it. What a let-down.

The only movies that tend to impress me have already stood the test of time. Now when I go to the movies, I expect it to blow so I can walk away not feeling like I wasted a 10.

my mum used to be a jw, she was baptised after about 3 years and carried on for about another 2. she first started taking me to the meetings when i was about 8, and carried on week after week until she was disfellowshipped (she went a bit mad and left home, but that's by the by).

the point is im 21 now and trying to make sense of the stuff i was brought up with for 5 years.

if anyone could shed light on one or two things i'd be most grateful (and some of it i might have wrong anyway).. - before noah's flood, all animals were vegetarian.

Um...because...JWs love technology and science.

Yes! So we can go out into space and preach to...aliens, who I guess don't have Satan to deal with. I don't know if there's an alien Satan that we have to save people from. And an alien Bible too. But we'll figure it out! Maybe it's on one of those new scrolls that get opened?

You know, maybe you should stop selfishly reaching out for more than your personal panda that you get to play with for all eternity.

When we had our TV in for repair for a week, I really got used to not having TV. The only shows I watch with any regularity are The Daily Show and The Colbert Report.

Strange Habits You Realised You Have

i recently realised i have a strange habit that's been noticed by others: i look in people's fridges when i'm over at their house.

it's just a reflex action, and i only recently became aware of it.. what strange habits have you discovered that you didn't realise you had?.

It's not strange, but it's an ocd nonetheless. I really can't stand a bottle without a top on it, when it's likely to tip over. If I don't find the cap to it, I get nervous and fixate my attention on it, in the expectation that it will spill so I can catch it. If I'm drinking out of said bottle, I cap it after every swig.

Wahhhhh!! I want to post some pictures here too. Where's the instructions? I've tried copy and paste and nothing shows up. Do I need to load the files to another site and then point to that site? If so, what site do you recommend?
