My letter to the "Glorious Ones."...
by Justice-One ini thought you guys might get a hoot out of this letter that i just mailed..... dear elders (or should i call you glorious ones?).
you can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can never fool all the people all the time.
and you certainly do not have me fooled anymore.

If the "Kool-Aid" came out...
by Justice-One ini was wondering the other day how many would drink if the kool-aid came out at a future meeting?
you know, they made an announcement that the faithfull and discreet slave had been told that we should all kill ourselves because jehovah did not see the need for us to endure through armageden.
i wonder....30 percent?

It would have to have some scriptural slant to it. Wasn't Enoch "taken" by God so he didn't have to suffer among wicked humanity? Are there any examples of straight-up suicide in the Bible?
The Enoch bit would be a decent starting point for a "let's all kill ourselves" letter.
But the bigger point is that they would never encourage it. Hard to rake in the dollars from a bunch of loyal corpses...
Good point, they'd probably include Enoch in final talk. But the scenario we're imagining is that the WTS is totally cornered and about to be dismantled...so in a last ditch effort, they go Jonestown.

Oh Call Of Duty! ...I played the original on PC, but not the new one yet.
Yeah, COD2 is a bit more noob friendly, so I started with that one. Every time you die, you get one of those quotes, in fact, both of those quotes are in the game. It makes you think about why you didn't shoot the Nazis well enough.

They could try to pull it off, and this is how they might do it...
The build up takes months. At the DCs and CAs, they announce that the FDS has been given inspiration that this Special Lord's Evening Meal will be the last ever. Everyone is directed to spend all time remaining in service, prayer, and Bible reading. Inactive ones are given special attention and exhorted to attend. There will be new light revealed to everyone in attendance. Attendance is mandatory! Halls are rented out far in advance so that every congregation may have the SLEM at the same time. Choked up prayers are given liberally throughout, and soppy, emotional talks work everyone into a emotional orgasm. People get up and hug each other, cry with each other, and by this point are ready to partake (New Light).

I think the f-bomb ending is a non-issue. If the elders read the letter, they will probably be offended right away, so I don't even think they'd get to the end. Even if they do get to the end, they've been insulted throughout the whole letter, so what difference does one final insult make? Justice-One isn't trying to deceive anyone into reading the whole thing (say, under the guise of a enthusiastic newcomer), or persuade them to read the letter for some important message. If J1 were trying to persuade the elders to change their ways, and then insult them at the end, then the f-bomb would be the bad way to end the letter.

If you took only one minute to look up and read each one, your child would grow up and leave home before you could even finish.
Do they even care about style anymore? If this was an attempt at cynicism, why do they fail so miserably?
I think all the WT writers need to take a professional writing course--NOT taught at Bethel by Brother EditedHisHSPaperForAYear. Either that or go to dreaded college.
