  CHANGE IN RESURRECTION DOCTRINE?

  ok, this is from the january 1, 2007 craptower.

  page 25 is the study article called "the first resurrection---now under way".

  it's too boring to type all the stupidity written, but here's a brief synopsis of where they come up with the brainiac idea that the first resurrection occurred in 1918 onwards:.

  Jesus Christ was anointed as future King in the fall of 29 CE. Three and a half years later in the spring of 33 CE he was resurrected as a mighty spirit person. Could it then be reasoned that since Jesus was enthroned in the fall of 1914, the resurrection of his faithful anointed followers began 3 1/2 years later in the spring of 1918? That is an interesting possibility. Although this cannot be directly confirmed in the bible, (like virtually ALL of their doctrines can't) it is not out of harmony with other scriptures that indicate that the first resurrection got under way soon after Christ's presence began.

  This is insane. Why would...resurrection in 1918....somehow coincide with what, a court trial?

  I've read up on some crazy nonsense from back in the day, but to see it unfold before my eyes is really something else.

  How Jw's will begin to 'accept' blood doctrinally.

  once upon a time, blood in any form was rejected by jw's.

  then, over time, they morphed the policies to allow some 'fractions' or blood.

  this allowed witnesses to get immunizations, treatments for hemophilia, etc.. in the past few years now, the policy is allowing greater 'definition' of 'fractions' - to the point where even bovine rbc's, altered to be called a 'fraction' now, due to processing the hemoglobin from the cells, for use.

  The end of the blood doctrine is prolly closer than we think. Let jaracz and some other moldies kick the bucket.

  I forget who's left...Jaracz, Barr, and Barber? Schroeder and Sydlik are gone, last I recall...

  Once the Old Guard is gone, and a few years hence, I could see them quietly drowning the "no main component" part of the blood issue. As it stands now, I'm guessing there are more than enough fractions allowed to save lives....so if a dub chooses to die, it was because his "Bible-trained conscience" prevented from taking a certain acceptable fraction.

  As a DUB, what did you do and hid so as not to stumble anyone?

  i was thinking of all the "concious matters" that you could do if you wanted, but would not tell anyone so you wouldn't get in "trouble".

  one thing that came to my mind is when after having my baby, i wanted to join weight watchers...there were two meeting places to choose from...one close to me and in a church....and one quite far not in a church.

  well, i went to the one in the church, always worried someone would see me(but i didn't really think it was a big deal) so, what did you all hide?

  Oh man, I had to hide pretty much everything. I played--and still play--violent videogames. Goldeneye was my favorite...

  For a time I listened to crappy metal (Korn, etc.). One night, while disturbed and wracked with guilt, I threw away all my violent videogames and depressing music. The experience was nothing short of cathartic. But I got away with a lot of things I would've gotten in trouble for otherwise.

  To this day I still have to hide things....the movies I download, this message board, the videogames I download....the music is more transparent, but yeah. Still rocking a mask.

  Heard at a JW family get-together...

  my wife and i (and of course not our two sons because they are df'ed) got invited over to my mother and father-in-laws place for dinner last night.

  at first, i wasn't going to go, and then i thought....well this might be fun.

  btw, i knew that pretty much all of the family was going to be there, including two elders...my father in law, and my brother in law...both brain dead "true believers.

  "you know I hate the UN too. They are completely useless, as all they do is talk. Personally I think the US should never have joined the UN....but I heard they and "others" did it because they have a GREAT library." ....Silence....I looked up and the two Elders were just staring at me. I went back to reading my book.

  Rock on. I wish I could've been a fly on the wall at that point.

  Of course, the elders could've been staring at you because they don't know...but if they did know...

  far be it from the jehovah's witnesses to talk out of both sides of their mouth.. far be it from jehovah's witnesses to doublespeak.. below is a perfect example of how gods chosen channel of truth has evidently forgotten what they previously stated in the "watchtower" which is their gods own publication for dispensing bible based truths to mankind.. .

  "at times explanations given by jehovah's visible organization have shown adjustments, seemingly to previous points of view.

  but this has not actually been the case.
