most people here in united states don't like british sketch comedy because it is a "different" kind of humor but i think this was done with the intent of confusing us.

I can't remember if it was Family Guy or The Simpsons, but one of them had a recent gag where somebody was forced to watch all the unfunny MP sketches as a form of torture or something.

That's really weird...but I would understand the natural curiousity. I used to have fantasies at the conventions about evildoers who were about to mug people or shoot someone during the prayer, due to the fact that everyone's eyes were closed.
I had to open my eyes to see who would do such a thing....that, and I didn't feel like closing my eyes for 5 minutes...
