a collegue of mine, a mother of 19 year old twins is distressed.

her one son has been going out with an older women (this came to light when the other twin was sick and tired of all the lying going on) the truth is that the older women turns out to be her very good friend, who is now 49 years old.

let's call her madam x.. madam x is a very '"sweet"" woman - i know her, as i used to work with her.

There are a few women who are as my therapist desribed me, " In perimenopause and feeling like a 19 year old BOY! " That may explain her attraction to a real teenage boy. He can probably keep up with her!

Ok, might be, but that was not my experience.

However, my ex limited the sex when she became 54 or so, so I had to help myself :) however, that was not the reason for divorce, (i'm not that egoistic :) ) she's still a JW (calling me satanic) and I'm not.

Anyway, on my experience, I would advise against any marriage to an older woman. I was 24, and never had a girlfriend until then, so after all, I feel like trapped by an experienced woman. (She was 43 at that time but we had lots of fun).

it's quite obvious. If a wife is a lot older than her husband, and sex, plays no role, it's no problem.

Unfortunately, most guys love sex, and how she looks for the eye.

If she's in menopauze, but the guy 'wants', say, 3x a week, what do you think what will happen then? He must be very patient then...

The other way around (man older than the wife), the problem is a lot less obvious.

Hi, I once married a JW-sister (i divorced when I df-ed myself and she did not follow) she was 19 years older. After all, she was nice (when I still was a JW), but believe me, when she's say 55-60 years, she's not interested so much as the 30 year younger man in having a sexual relation. And he should know before he marries her, if she's willing to 'compensate' that in some ways. This would cause problems.

just to review, i had my meeting today with the two elders who say a sister has accused me of "grinding" with her and thus porneia.

so i printed out several of your comments on how to defend myself.

i felt good about standing my ground, and repeating that i had not "grinded" with this ex-friend and that she wants to ruin the relationship i have now with the sister i am dating.. however, the two elders today really tried to pressure me.

Know this. Either stick to the watchtower rules, or leave.

There rules: There are according to the 'elder-book' three levels of bad behavior.

- flirting (eg) while you don't want to marry a sister, is bad behavior
- kissing and touching any of the three parts of her, or she with your 'part' is sexual uncleaness.
- touching and causing an orgasm, with the other part -is- porneia for which you can be excommunicated.

So, if you don't like to be married, and take responsability for flirting and more, accept that those JW-sisters, will cause havoc.

Second, I'd not stay with this cult for a second.

Leave them rotting, they don't want help, except from the governing body. It is a part of 'babylon the great' that punishes her own members with plagues (for instance, sisters that won't have a child, cannot marry, but die and burn of desire, to be married and have a family).

Consider this, take responsability for your life, don't stand in two countries, -watchtower land- or -your land, that you can create-

if you don't you'll get hurt a lot more.

Here in the Netherlands, a gallon costs 6,048 EUR in $ this is +/- 9,50 USD.

Hey Friends, I think that _when_ the end really is near, JW's all will be asleep! They don't know anything, they go astray on the sayings of the GB (we'll watch over you!).

If that about inspiration and central 'theocratic government' all were true, the first century had a 'GB' and Paul was subordinate to the apostles in Jerusalem :)

However, his own letter to Galatians strongly suggests otherwise!

There have been attempts by several to sum the number of 'annointed' including the first century. It sums up to waaaay above 200.000.

Secondly consider this 'formula'

[symbol number] + [symbolic number] = [literal number]

Makes sense?

Well, it does for the WTS.They claim that the 12 tribes, mentioned in Revelation 14, are symbolic, and the number of 12.000 must not be taken literal as well, but 12 times the 12.000 is magically a literal number.

How do JW's react when learning that Jehovah is not part of Christianity?

jehovah this, jehovah that......6 times per page in the old testament.

but oh how few jw's know that the name jehovah does not even appear in the christian greek scriptures....or new testatment as i prefer.

i used to be so proud of our real bible, the nwt for restoring the divine name thousands of times in the ot.

Sorry to spoil it. :) The Peshitta, is the original NT, not the Greek bible. The Peshitta does contain Gods name in the form of "Mar-Jah" (Lord Jah) and Jesus is referted to be titled Jah (in Acts) and true, when the OT is citated, 'Jah' is used and sometimes, the non-OT-text just uses that name. However, the WTS never used the peshitta as their source. They used the 'best-guess' method (except for Matthew) more about Aramaic, the original language of Jesus http://www.aramaicpeshitta.com
