  i see no reason why any organised religion should be exempt from paying their due taxes.

  the lds church contributed a significant amount of money and effort to endorse prop 8 in california via its network of church, media, and community outlets enshrining discrimination under the law for thousands of californians and their families.. .

  taken from another posting on here (holy disfellowshipping batman).... 50 kids have been disfellowshipped from the following areas, round lake, palatine, crystal lake,cary,barrington, in the last 30 days.. anyone have any further info?.

  Grumpy Christmas Memories

  i was chatting to a mate last night about christmas as a jw and about how unfair it all is when you consider the rest of the christian world is off celebrating and having fun and we were all playing the christmas grump.. have you got any stories about your rotten christmass ?.

  in my late teens i was working as a postman and as part of my round i had to deliver to a convent full of nuns.

  one christmas eve i dropped off the nuns mail and was told that the priest wanted to see me, now being a typical dub i wasnt happy about having to deliverer to a bunch of nuns in the first place.

  a swiss man today crossed the english channel with just a jetpack in around 10 minutes.... imagine how many lives could have been saved at normany during wwii if british and american troops had had these!.

  Zachariah and Russell

  below is a picture of what is said to be the burial place of the prophet zachariah.

  as you may remember old zac is mainly remembered for calling upon the people of jerusalem to rebuild jehovahs temple here on earth, hes also know as a prophet who foresaw the coming of the messiah.

  note the structure of the top of that tomb, its a pyamid.. now take a look at charles taze russells tomb , note the structure.. .

  TSA now allowed to take laptops from you

  not content with taking your shoes and confiscating your water, now the department of homeland security is gunning for your laptops.

  as the washington post reported yesterday, border patrol and customs agents can now detain laptops for a reasonable period of time to review and analyze information.

  they dont need probable cause under the new policy.
