Well, the other way round... Went back to the KH to hear my little son give his Reading talk - looked straight in the eyes of the elders who DF'd me and gave them a HUGE GRIN. One just about fell over in his haste to run. Then, during one of their SM talks, I just kept smiling and looking directly at the brother on stage. I think he forgot what he was saying about 10 times.

If you want to know more about Jehovah, go to a Christian church, read your Bible and pray. Do whatever the Lord leads you to do, but you won't accomplish knowing Him by getting involved with the Jehovah's Witnesses or Watchtower Society.

Hugs. I think it was a JW thing - that teaching you not to acknowledge feelings. I'm not sure how to express it, but we were somehow taught that emotions might come from the Devil and if you expressed them in words, he could hear you and get a hold on you, but if you never expressed them or acknowledged them, only God knew and the Devil couldn't get you. I think that was even in a publication somewhere, but I haven't installed my WT library on these computers yet.... Yet another way the WT has of damaging its people.

by neverendingjourney ini have read some threads here that suggest that anyone thinking big changes are coming to the watchtower due to all of the new gb appointments is fooling themselves.
its been said that ted jaracz has been heavily involved in selecting new gb members and wants to ensure that they all share his hard-line vision for the religion.
i must admit that i thought there would be big changes by now since six of the nine gb members were appointed within the last eight years.

Guy has two step-sons... One did not get along so well - he is outstandingly brilliant - too smart to stay in the Borg. His books are on Amazon under the pen name of Andrea Peters.... I think he was removed as elder last I heard, so maybe there is hope for him. He finances dad in the GB and brother / sis-in-law at Bethel.

The person in question wrote back to my mom and she was so excited.... He even included (by coincidence?) an experience from Moldova that hit very close to her heart, as she knows many people who needlessly went through the persecution in that country.
