"hat's the point....I'm not looking for any organization. No one will ever put me or God in a box again. The greatest thing I've ever heard is the word GRACE and if I die tomorrow I know that God loves me just the way I am right now"

Has anyone ever run into someone REALLY CREEPY while out in service?
by Dorktacular ini know i've run into quite a few weirdos.
i had one guy that told us that adolph hitler was going to come back from the dead to kill all jws.
needless to say, he didn't want a copy of the watchtower!

Let's see...
There was the guy who chased us off his property with a shotgun poked through the car window. My mom mouthed off at him - "Sir, I could leave a lot faster if that thing was not in my window."
Then an elder sent another teenage girl and myself (we were probably 14) to do an "apartment building" by ourselves. People kept coming to the doors naked or in bikini underwear - it was a whore house.
My first week back in Seattle, I took over a study for someone, and during the study the lady pushed me down on the floor as bullets came through her window.
Meeting a guy with giantism at a door - this other sister and I were standing on the stairs, knocked and this guy came to the door and just filled it.... we about fell backwards off the stairs. He was a real nice guy though.
Yes, the field circus was very entertaining. -

Um - the one who every time he gave a Service Meeting part, he simply read the KM article slowly and in a peaceful monotone, guaranteeing to put you to sleep?

Um, so it's an elder-based conscience? Classic example of how JWs cannot think for themselves. Or cannot rely on a personal relationship with God to be able to direct their lives. Legalism..... I mean, God is going to strike her down dead because she walked out on a union strike? Or would it be fear of shunning?

Strike posed quandary for Jehovah's Witness
By Barry Shlachter, Jim Fuquay, Maria M. Perotin
Star-Telegram Staff WritersCan a Jehovah's Witness participate in a union strike and still remain true to her faith?
That's what a Benbrook train dispatcher wondered when her union leaders ordered her to walk off the job in 2005 at Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway Co.
The ensuing dispute now has landed Jenny Moore and the union, the American Train Dispatchers Association, in court.
Here's Moore's version of events, according to the religious-discrimination lawsuit she filed against the union this week:
Moore, a practicing Jehovah's Witness, was on duty as a dispatcher when the union called for an immediate walkout by members in March 2005. She was unsure whether she could leave, because Jehovah's Witnesses aren't supposed to participate in any political action, including picketing.
Moore asked a union official for time to call a church elder for advice. He refused. She stayed on the job about two hours, and eventually reached a church leader. After the elder gave her the go-ahead, Moore left work. Union officials subsequently brought charges against Moore for disobeying orders and fined her $2,171. Moore believes that amounts to religious discrimination, and she wants the union to pay up.
Union President G.L. Melton said Wednesday that he hadn't seen Moore's suit. "I don't know what it's about or what she's alleging," Melton said. "I thought it was a settled deal."

Do you know any staunch "Trinitarians" that quit believing in the Trinity?
by booker-t inan elder once told me that to make a trinitarian stop believing in the trinity doctrine is almost like walking against an escalator.
he said it is next to impossible to change their way of thinking no matter what scriptures you show them.
it seems that they are "jesus" franatics and what ever scripture they show you trying to prove jesus is god they totally do a backpedal when a scripture applying to another that can prove godship is always disregarded.

Nobody believes in the Trinity because a rational examination of the available evidence leads them to that belief
I would have to respectfully differ with that opinion. A rational examination of the Scriptures has led me to that belief. The JWs grossly misrepresent the Trinity doctrine as well as twisting their Bible every which way to make it NOT teach the Trinity doctrine. Many an hour I had spent arguing with "Trinitarians" - never thought I would be on their side one day. Titus 2:13 is my latest find - " 13 while we wait for the blessed hope—the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ," If you want to find some convoluted presentation of non-facts, check out the NWT appendix on that.
How about John 1:1,3 -
" 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made."
So, does it say "through him all things were made, without him nothing has been made that had been made EXCEPT JESUS?" No - it does not.
This is just a smattering of proof that Jesus is God. Maybe it isn't so much that they are fanatics, but that they recognize a truth when they see it.....

We were evicted from our home with a newborn baby. Jehovah provided an abandoned house for us - nobody had lived in it for 7 years and it was filthy, musty and my baby son could not breathe in it. This so my husband could pioneer rather than work.... We had no food and I was reprimanded for being seen standing in line at the basement of the Catholic church where the government food bank was hosted. Reprimanded by elders who drove Cadillacs, owned multiple homes, and wore gold jewelry. They even gave me $10 to buy my baby some food. Yep - Jehovah gave us $10, despite me being seen near Babylon the Great. Heaven forbid my husband should go to work or provide for the baby. I had to display the lack of faith and find work that would feed him..... Just some slight bitterness there....
