Well, here is your problem: "JW make you work and study and learn for your salvation " - Think about that one for awhile, Aleman. Work for your salvation? I thought salvation was an undeserved kindness? Is not it Satan that wants to make you think you can earn your salvation?

What has everyone done with your literature, now that you've left?

I have some books from the early years that look like they are supposed to pick up a decent price on eBay (Comfort for the Jews ans such). I keep tossing between a) am I selling poison to some poor innocent?, b) do I want to keep them for ammunition on JW boards? or c) do I want the money?

Did You Ever Say "Thank You For Disfellowshipping Me?"
by Magick init's been a while since i cared about the current events of jehovah's witnesses.
after leaving, my sadness turned to anger then bitterness, then dismissal.
but recently, it's all come back to haunt me like a bad disease.

I'm thinking about it. One of the elders on my DF committee just showed up in court, supporting my abusive ex and listening to him lie in court and get called on it by the judge. Suppose he will be DF'd next?

Soo..... Would not Christmas be considered a religious holiday? Easter? But guess what? Christians were REQUIRED to work those days - I know, I worked there!!! So maybe I should sue because I had to work on Christmas? Come off it!!!! Yes, employees have rights, but here AT&T was basically treating all employees the same.

What planet is she living on? ""When some people wonder how my faith sits with me having worked as a dancer or Naomi being a model, I tell them that this is not a religion that judges people. There's nothing wrong with a Jehovah's Witness being in entertainment. We are involved in all walks of life, including showbusiness." -

Well, we had an elder at our home who consumed a 6 pack in short order and then was going to drive his 6 year old nephew around. I said no in front of the rest of the party and he was very angry with me. He df'd me not long after that. I think I embarrassed him... But I have seen more alcoholic JWs than not.
