  I appreciate all of your kindness and relate to your pain. As far as me being strong, it's not true. I have only done what I needed to do. I had a choice I suppose, either lay down and die or get through it. Thankyou so much for responding to me with such love. dj

  ok here's the deal..... i've not had much to do w/ my parents since jan '02 when my mother and i got into over her force feeding my 3 year old the "troof".

  when i respectfully ask her on behalf of myself and my non jw husband, to respect us enough to let us teach our child about religion.... her response was "well if you don't want her around our religion, then don't bring her around us".

  and during the course of this conversation she stated this in the most hateful of tones at least 4 or 5 times to both me and my husband, in front of our daughter.... well i was furious.... that she would say such a thing and openly chose to have nothing to w/ my daughter.. without being given an ultimatum<sp> to choose.

  Dear Wordly Girl,

  I can offer you a suggestion but of course you'll need to decide what is right for you! I suppose that you could tell your parents that your child is 'your responsibilty' and that includes teaching spiritual issues. If they really want to see their grandchild then they need to respect your wishes.

  Personally, I do not allow my family to teach my children. They used to, and I put and end to it by using the advice that I gave you above. It's not ok for me to leave my kids alone with them though. I did once and they were 'preached to'. It really depends on how much you desire their involvement in your life

  I wish you the best! I know it can be brutal. Keep your chin up and love in your heart!

  Resurrection or Reincarnation.........

  folks,over the years,seem to think that they must change meanings and words so the words will fit their own truths.they think truth is relative.but the real facts remain that even though some people think truth is relative,at the same time truth is always open and anything else but truths is a lie.. from a hindu's point of reference reincarnation is a cycle of life in which when we die,we are reborn into another life.it matters not if the next life is improved or not.and returns with a new body,soul,or whatever karma allows itself to be.. resurrection,as in christ,means christ returned as he left.luke 24:39,makes that statement.

  "and he said to them,"why are you troubled?and why do doubts arise in your hearts?behold my hands,my feet that it is i myself handle me and see...for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see i have.

  reincarnation is coming back,after death in something new.resurrection is coming back the same way.. wt or watchtower followers are famous in creating something from nothing out of the bible.they have changed their theology doctrine many times.and those who listen to watchtower is basically a watchtower follower.. so basically,as in luke 24:39,if we believe or teach that christ came back any other way,then we teach heretical blasphemy.

  I agree with what you are saying. I once asked a jw, "If you believe that Jesus was resurrected then what part of him was resurrected? If his spirit was just his breath and his soul was just his body and his body was dissolved into molecules THEN what part of him rose?" I never did get an answer to that!

  Deleting A Poster Akin To DF'ing?

  i recently got an email from mr. moe.

  amongst other things, she says that she hated df'ing when she was a dub, so she abhores the banning of certain posters from this site, because it seems so similar to df'ing.. i think her opinion is of great value and warrants looking at closely.

  is suspending someone for the contents of their posts justifiable then?

  I am sorry for your pain. I hope one day soon you feel you can trust. I understand that feeling completely and I'm sure that most of the people here can too. I am not sure but I suspect that you are being hard on yourself. There is no way you could have known that this was his 'other side.'

  I remember reading that blueberries are a powerful anti-viral agent. The research done in Canada showed that crushed blueberried destroyed 100% of polioviruses within 24 hrs., even when the berries were diluted 10x. The researchers credited tannins in the fruit with killing the microbes......and they taste good! dj

  I remember reading that the 2nd part would be aired this week. I think that Diamond is referring to the 1st part that was seen last week. I caught a preview on CNN tonight for Connie Chung that said Wed. nights show was about children.....could be it?
