I know, that in between nether land was a very painful place to be for me too. I didn't want to judge either but at the same time I also realized that I had been judging everyone else because of the witness teachings. Now, I don't feel like I'm judging anyone because the jw teachings are so alien from what the bible says that they are just plain false teachers with a different gospel. Paul said anyone who teaches a different gospel, let him be accursed.(2x) This Rev. 9 teaching is an admission that they do not bring the good news but their intent is to bring harm! While they claim that they are spreading the good news they are also believing that they bring harm and torture to people who open the door and listen. They actually do bring harm too. Notice that the locusts cannot kill. hmmm. Notice also that the locusts cannot harm someone with the "seal of God". In other words, if someone is sealed (holy spirit) then they cannot be harmed by the locusts (jws?). That makes sense to me, because a Christian isn't sucked into their false teachings and therefore is spared their harm. I have no idea if they are actually these locusts but it seems as though they fit the job...?? It would be a first though for the jw's to have a teaching that is right...lol I do owe some kind of mixed gratitude to the jw's because if I had not been taught falsly....I have no idea if I ever would have sought the true truth. I take it that you have never heard a jw ask..."Was Jesus praying to Himself?" That is very common.

One doesn't have to use holy "ghost"...that is silly. This "active force" is a made up phrase that is not in the Hebrew or Greek but the Jw's have put active force in Genesis where the Holy Spirit should be. Also, consider that fact that Jesus said that He would send "another" helper and referred to the Hoy Spirit as "He" and "Him". The use of personal pronouns make the force teaching deny what Christ taught. Christ is almighty. How else can He hold the world with His power?

Need help with the Trinity

i have been talking to a coworker of mine about religion and it's been rather interesting; it involves accepting christ into your heart as your saviour.

another thing is the trinity.. is there anything that any of you have found in the bible based on these beliefs.

i keep reading scriptures about god being one, and christ his son but then my coworker insists they are one in the same.. how, if anyway.

Me too. The concept of Jesus being Michael never sat right with me in my heart. When they combined the belief that Jesus was an angel and then turned Him into the angel of the bottomless pit........ I knew that this religion was false and my other doubts all began to click together. love, dj

Is JW just another denomination?

hello :) i suppose this is my introduction to the forum, though i am not sure if i will actually post and read much here.

i did go through several posts, and didn't find anything helpful, though i did find many posts interesting... anyway, i am not a jehovahs witness.

i hope this doesn't immediatly diqualify me from posting this question here... but basically, i was wondering just what is jw?

I agree. The jw's have a "God" and 'a god".

In Rev., Jesus is the First and the Last (the one who was pieced). How can there be two First's and Last's?

Where did you get your opinion that Jesus is not God? Where did you get your John 1:1 translation? Johannes Greber, a spirit medium is where the jw's got their "a god" translation. Also, John......Do you worship Jesus? The jw's do not. If they did......then according to their teachings they would be worshipping the created Michael the archangel. Jesus is not Michael.

Whoa, easy there Stinky! I think that the reason for the topic of the trinity is because the original poster expressed his disbelief in it and that does make him a prime candidate for the jw's to sink their teeth into him until they devour him. I think that you would serve others better who believe in Christ such as John.....not to be so helpful......lol...

I would like to say to John that the jw's seem very nice and will "love bomb" you and even play "theocratic warfare" by lieing to you while studying with them because if they told you everything that they teach/practice/believe...you'd run like the dickens. They are not to be trusted. The concept of the trinity is a big deal to them in order to try to prove thier own righteousness and find fault with and accuse Christians of idolotry. They are controlled by fear about everything and masquerade is as personal conviction. They are not allowed to disagree on anything or they are basically executed by being disfellowshipped and shunned and told that they will die at the big A. I hope that you have read the thread about the locusts of Rev 9 just for a taste of the way that they twist everything. John, you sound like person who understands our freedom in Christ Jesus and I would like to encourage you to remain that way. Stick around and do some research such as www.freeminds.org and www.ajwrb.org These sites are accurate and will not mislead you in informing you about their teachings. Stay free John, don't let the watchtower chain you into serving them in endless bondage of their lies. Love, dj

This is right up there as one of the sickest twisted nonsensical teachings they have come up with. It is hard to believe that they fall for it. I remember reading the red Rev/Grand Climax book and thinking...why would they desire to be a plague? a woe? Their arrogance in thinking that everything is directed to them in the bible has utterly backfired and sunken their mothership. Pride comes before a fall. I am aware of about only two scriptures that they use to justify this teaching and they are just plain wrong and clearly flawed. Just as they twist all of the scriptures.......... this one is really out there and I hope to use it to help jw's get out of her lies. They are a like plague and a spreading cancer so, atleast they admit it. I remember tha day that I read in Joel, that God will restore the years stolen by the locusts and I wept.

Undis....the false "reasoning" that they use is : Jesus has the keys to death and Hades.... (true but He is not a" fallen star" and it it showing that they keys were being given to this fallen star, when God authorizes this plague on the earth) The other one that I recall is the demons aked Jesus if He came to "destroy them?" This is a classic example of the way they get stuck on words and ignore the rest of the bible. I don't remember much more than those two.....probably because it was all the spiritual vomit that I could stomach. Thank you Father, for revealing it to babes that Satan falls as lightening.
