  the latest watchtower, dec 15th 2003, is an out and out attack on the rank and file for dropping into a drowsy state spiritually.

  ok, so armageddon didn't come before the generation of 1914 grew old and died.

  but does that mean that the big a isn't near?

  I read that 4 times and I disagree with your conclusion. You have to read between the lines and have an overactive imagination to conclude that they set a new date. It is just their way of paralleling imo. It says what is says to me and nothing more. The danger is that we have a tendency to make things say one thing but mean another. That is what the jws do when they read the bible. They make verses mean other things than what was actually written or intended. Be careful of that learned behavior. It took me a long time to see that I was reading more things into stuff than what was actually said. I still have to watch that tendency. If you think about it enough, you'll see that we learned that behavior from them. Take care. dj

  Watchtower Has New World Air!

  i posted this only because, i used to sit in the kingdom hall and watch the children-cough, weez, and sniffle, and dealing with hay fevor.

  i felt so bad for them, because they had to breath whatever air was in the room.

  then when i found this link, it kind of got me mad, because some of the worldwide preaching work contributions are providing the watchtower corporate, with some of the cleanest, freshest, and safest air money can buy.. yet the very people who provided the watchtower with those contributions, have to sit at meetings and just suffer, and their kids as well.

  I always wondered why the kh's had no windows to air the place out once in a while but my daughter reminded me why.....she told me it is because they have no light.

  as of nov. 13th i won?t be able to check out this board as often as i would like.

  after 9 years, the 14th is my final day working for the military (active duty army, then civil service job).

  my husband resigned from the marines and is currently working in management and so we?ll be moving to a new location nov. 19th

  Lots of purple grooves to you Zoe. I stay home with my kids and I don't regret it for a second. They grow so fast. Just remember to get out occasionally. It can be brutal being home at times but I do think it really matters. I wish you all the best and lots of love.

  Some light on "new light" please

  is it possible for anyone to give me a clearer understanding of the"new light" doctrine?.

  the way i currently understand it from reading the bible is that as time passes and events .

  unfold the meaning of certain information given in the scriptures will become clearer.. i do not see anywhere where it indicates that new light is a method of replacing one .

  Coincidences,What Do You Think?

  recently,two posters,happy out and tyydyy posted topics that mirrored my exact recent experiences.. happy out's car crash was my experience this past thursday morning.i was hit by two tractor trailers on the njtpk.the airbag did not deploy enabling me to steer clear of on -coming traffic as i was spun around.

  they made lane changes and fish-tailed swiping me from one lane to the next,it had been raining and the roadway surface was slick.. i ended up facing sideways,drivers side facing on-coming traffic at 60 mph and higher,front end into the wall divider.i quickly reversed myself and moved to the far right lane shoulder,thankful that the car was able to move after the front end hit the wall.the state troopers said this happens a lot and the trailers don't even realize that they side-wiped someone.they were long gone,no injuries to anyone else,no other collisions invovled.i walk away with out a scratch,front end damage to the car will be repaired,i was shaken up to say the least and thought this was it for me.. this was exactly one week after my brother died at the same time of morning,9:20 am.coincidence??

  ?i mentioned this to happy out in his post.. then,tyydyy posts that he finds his brother after 22 years.this two was my experience as i told him in his post.one of my sisters found me this past week, after twenty-something years which lead to finding four of my six sisters,still looking for the other two.coincidences???.

  Gosh......Blueblades, you've been having a time...I'm so glad that you weren't hurt. I am not one for thinking too much about these 'coincidences' only because it's just too freaky and you can never really know why some stuff happens. I have had times like this and I just wanted you to know that I'm so sorry about your brother and so happy about your sister. What a strange set of circumstances.   i posted here just a little back in january of 2001. i scrambled out of here right quick then since i was still active and fearful of so many things.

  i am inactive but not exactly a non jw yet.

  i am a conservative person and still believe that some of the teachings of jws are good though i do not agree with everything that's for sure!

  Nice to meet you Sabrina. Hang tough and give it time. The process can be slow at times and sometimes a bit too fast...that has been my experience. The towers come a tumbling down but God is still there. He will hold you up and see it to the end. Love to you, dj

  hi to all who defended me on that other board.. i came home today to nine pm's, all defending me from the personal attacks on me, on another board.

  i am still in shock, but i do appreciate the words of those who defended me.. one gal called me and told me she had five phone calls from others expressing shock over the way i was being maligned on the other board.. i am fine, and dealing with it.

  i guess we all need to expect to be criticized.

  Well, I guess I just lost my virginity.....I went to the [other] site and read what you are talking about and all I can say is....... I feel physically ill. You don't deserve that sweetie. I truly believe that there is something really wrong with those people. You shouldn't give it another thought. I wish you hadn't read it....heck, I wish I hadn't become curious enough to read it. I remember when that site began and I recall the people who left to go there...so I am not toooo surprised by the state of that pig pen. Let it drop, Mulan and accept my hugs and don't give it a second thought..it is all just a load of crap that isn't worth a second of your energy. love, dj

  After 22 years I've found my brother!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  my brother went to bethel as a teenager and was disfellowshipped and sent home.

  he tried to toe the line and after 6 months the local congregation recommended reinstatement.

  bethel didn't like that idea.

  Oh wow......Tim, that is quite a story and wonderful news! I hope that he has healed from his pain caused by wt policies and lies. It's so sad to hear how your dad treated him. Is your dad still a jw? I'm am so excited for you and your sister. I'm sorry that I am not offering any good advice. Gosh....just give him lots and lots of love!
